Hey Folks, As many R1200GS know, the side mirrors do little to show what's actually behind you and more of what is on your sleeves, so I am asking if anyone has any recommendations on side-mirror extenders/extensions? I've seen the ones at Touratech for $85, but am curious if there are other products out there that I am not aware of.

I decided to pick up a set of these too. I own an adventure, so I had to get a different model, but thanks! I hope they serve me just as well as they have you.
How do these extenders affect the 'fuzz/blur' in the mirrors? Less would be a welcome perk, but what is the reality?
The THICKER the extender...the LESS the vibration. There is NO vibration in the Wunderlich one's. Compare the thickness of the TT (0.25 in) ones to the Wunderlich ones (0.675 in...per my micrometer...no specs on website). No comparison. W wins.
Laurel is right on the money! The Ztechnik extenders are crazy thick, and the mirrors don't vibrate at all anymore. Nice! Of course, vibration depends on more than just mounts, right? Tires, motor condition, road condition, blah, blah. YMMV, but whatever you do, post pics!
The ones from Wunderlich are the best out there. Alternative strategy: I got a pair of military-length folding KTM mirrors for my HP2. They're the 280mm, 10x1.25 ones in the pic. They are a straight replacement for the stock mirrors -- but about an inch longer and folding, so they don't get trashed off-road. I bought the ztechnic mirror extenders. They are solid, a bit ugly but work well as advertised. But in the end I took them off. I prefer keeping an eye on my blind spots to the side/rear to watch out for speeding lane changers who like to mow bikes over. I can still see directly behind me enough to keep the license plate polishers away.
Many of my previous rides had terrible rear views, however I have no problem with my 2012 r1200gs. Barely notice my elbows. MoodyGS
2007 R1200ST mirrors. You'll need the ST collets and boots, as the ST mirror stalks are not threaded.
