If you say so. But if you watch Wharton he's sizing guys up for the next smackdown and its too obvious. Hes been in that 250 class a long time, probably wont be fast enough to do well in 450's ever. Hes too desperate and it shows. But if a smart racer watches videos of other racers,he would know to never leave a door open for the takedown move. Some spectators are there for the crashes, some are there for the races. Promoters mainly want money and if takedown style crashes sell then what the heck?
I agree its good racing, but guys getting knocked down doesnt help the show, you can have great tight banging racing with out the smackdown moves. It seems like its accepted more then it used to be,I dont watch racing to see crashes. A "dirty" move would be 1 where 3 camera angles show a rider driving his bike straight into another bike and using it for a berm and knocking the rider flying. 2 guys racing and banging on each other is a different thing. But overall great racing and WA should be another good one!
Wharton will never win a SX\MX Championship. I understand riders fighting for a position in a turn. I'd say it's perfectly acceptable for them to bump into each other and even cause another rider to go down. It's the nature of the beast. This however is different from the only way that Wharton knows how to pass a rider. His method is ALWAYS to essentially mess up a turn, and use the rider he takes out as a berm. Wharton will never amount to anything beyond what he has now if he keeps it up. Andrew
Canard is a bit over the top... follow him on twitter and you'll see what I mean... every tweet is a quote from the bible or something similar... https://twitter.com/TreyCanard That guy does really walk the walk.
That IS just one step away from a fire and brimstone sermon, hopefully no speaking in tongues on the podium. I had no idea it had gone that far.
On the posted link there is a short video where he speaks about Grace, far from fire and brimstone. Don't think we will hear any tongues being spoken.
I just took a look:eek1:eek1:eek1 You don't actually bother to follow that sermon, do you? Nut job. I won't be pulling for that boy anymore, he doesn't need any of my help. Maybe some day he should ask God why he always makes him crash so hard.
happened to see X games on TV tonight in Brazil and good old Josh Hansen is in it. The event was step up which was like a pole vault and a bar to clear. after his 2 turns at that particular height he rode around the perimeter of the little event field waving to his adoring Brazilian fans. He then rode back across the area where the starting gate was and Ronnie Renner was in it ready to go. Renner didn't appreciate it and took a swing at Hansen. It appeared the slight was, your turn is done stay out of my psace while I'm getting ready. After Renners turn, he only needed one as he cleared it he rode over to where the other riders were sitting on their bikes and rammed/Tboned right into Hansens bike and a discussion ensued. Every time I see Josh Hansen in action I like his father less for not denouncing the jerk... at the end when the camera was in his face he thanked mom, dad, and JLaw. touching.
I knew him when he was 16 years old, living in Colo with his dad and step mom and was a good kid then, I don't know what turned him in to a POS
