I can't find the ride report right now, but Dirtfarmer dug up the stats. I keep trying to get Lee on a Devro ride. :evil

Your's is quite an accomplishment though, I know how fast you have to ride to average 40mph+. :thumb

Thx for the link. I really have no idea how many miles are dirt vs pavement on the OK TAT. I guess you could get some approximation from aerial photos.

DD that sounds like an awesome ride. Even with the Guts seat on the XRR, there's no way I could go sixteen hours. You da man! :bow

When I make that ride it will be measured in days, not hours.

i am about to buy my first adventure type bike, and have been looking at this ride. why do they say you can only go east to west? any thoughts on why this is the case for the TAT?

This sentiment is based on the facts that the maps, roll charts, and associated mileages and turn directions are written in an East to West fashion. But once the maps are digitized into GPS, they can be easily ridden either way...

Hey, Congrats on the ride. I am planning on doing the OK section in Sept. but my fifty year old ass won't set in the saddle that long! I plan on taking two days with a hotel stop in the middle somewhere.

Now that looks like a hoot! I came through OK on the TAT the last week of July. I loved it! Especially the Tall Grass Prairie Preserve. Had a get off 20 miles west of Newkirk when I came over a rise and irrigation had flooded the road. Going 60 something and got whoaed to 30 something and went down in the mud. Bike pretty beat up but continued on to Colorado. You can haul ass on those 30 mile straight stretches.

I did 6500 miles yesterday, but it took a car and four planes to do it :D

Good Job! I hope to hear more about it at Tulsa Tuesday Pub Crawl.

Oh... and thanks for not posting any pix of your red butt:D
