But I deal with marketing types on a regular basis, so let me repose: what are the thermometer readings corresponding to the subjective 'hot' 'and 'cold' in the settings guidelines? And at what temperature, if any, would it be recommended to use the neutral settings?

I get it though, about the temperature settings. People want a starting point, and they realize there may be some overlap of the ranges. I don't know, can you hear the subjectivity even in that question?

I totally understand that the temperature ranges are not precise. But it's nice to have some correlation between the objective thermometer and the subjective 'hot' and 'cold'. The spanner in the works in Mexico may be that the temperature range will mostly be correlated to elevation. Just another toy to play with on the trip, which BTW will see me in Panama some time in January, so the doo hickey will get a good work out.

Ok so here is the subjective answer.
Discover for your self what the temp ranges of the 3 offsets are, FOR YOU.

Generally the -20 is the mid range, say 50ºF to 90ºF ± 10-15ºF and the -10 and -30 offsets take over at the extreme hot end and cold end of those mid range temperatures. So you see there are no set temperatures assigned to the 3 offsets, given the real world variables of,
which bike you own,
how many miles are on it,
its general state of tune,
and how you ride, etc.

In short find out for your self, on your bike, as you ride. You'll know when the bike is not running at the same peak performance you'll get used to, after installing the IICE Air.

And be sure and report back here with your findings for others to get an idea of where they can start, based upon what works for you.

Thank you Mr. JJ! I will record my subjective experience of the doo hickey during my trip and report back my findings. I am looking forward to better throttle response for passing the dreaded Mexican 'Doubles' on my trip.

For me, I'm glad these two nutters have put their heads together to crank out this cool little device. And I'm glad to wait my turn while they work through production, on the side of their regular day jobs.

I'd have to say kissing the posterior region won't make yours arrive any sooner.

Refraining from posting redundant questions here may help keep them in the shop though...

But don't cry for me Argentina, all things considered this was the better choice, (besides I'll feel better in the morning.)

So what happens if I'm out riding and I decide to adjust the ICEE Air and I loose the jumper? :huh Will the bike run to get home?

Just tighten it to the proper torque, and it won't come loose.
