All of the crap. That little pump in the lower left corner is the ABS pump. It weighs 11.8 lbs with all of the lines. Under the instrument pod is a huge metal bracket that weighs almost 7 lbs not including the instruments, and who needs instruments anyways.

Holy Shite, that bike will have a totally different feel. Let's give those 950s some dust to eat!:clap

For the next several weeks, no sweep duty for you, enjoy that baby, meanwhile go get some body armor, you, dr, and luv2race give me chills. Those scars and scabs offer very little protection...:lol3

Sat at 3PM we will have a tech day in my garage to do DHR front springs on his XRL. Ben, if you're riding in the morning and have time in the afternoon, tag along.

QS, while I'm working on the springs, for sure DHR and Ben can do the oil change, then I'll see if there's time to do the valve adjustement. I did my GS1200 and KTM 640A valve adjustment myself, and so far the valves haven't flew through the valve cover...:lol3 Having the 2 FFs there and you will not make my gf asking questions..

The specs from BMW advertise 387 lbs dry. I weighed mine on an industrial shipping scale at a Fedex facility when I bought it. It weighed 389 lbs with a 1/4 full tank.

Along with this nearly 30 lbs that I have removed, I originally removed/replaced another 22lbs.

I would say it weighs around 335-340 dry now.

I took it for a short ride in the neighborhood park yesterday and it does not feel like the same bike anymore.

Still have a lot of finish work to do that I can do later........or never:lol3

    Rincon Cutoff Status:

I heard the Rincon Shortcut is going to open this weekend so I stopped by the Glendora Ranger Station Monday to ask about it. It will open Friday morning through Monday morning ONLY, for the opening of hunting season and not recommended for riding (to keep from being shot). It will not be open all the way to hwy 2.
The reason for the closure is that the Edison Company is doing work up there. They have cut many new access roads off the main road, some that descend very steeply into canyons where it is necessary to winch vehicles back up. The road will not open again until these access roads have been gated. They have no idea when this will be as it is Edison job to install the gates.
Also be aware Hunting season is open this weekend throughout the Angeles Forest so leave bearskin and deerskin riding jackets at home!
