I got locked out of my Photobucket. It all started out like this. Nutzy and I escorted this memorial to washington DC on Tuesday. The trip there was good, Nutzy wanted to hang out in DC. I couldn't take the heat and did not want to wander the big city at morning rush hour traffic not even knowing where we were going, so I looked at the map and decided to head back on back roads instead of the expressways we took down. We stopped in this little town for some BBQ for lunch and checked out the old fort. Next we crossed the potomac on a big blue steel bridge. Nutzy jumped right off the bike and hid in the bridge. I found him peeking out at me from a nice dry secure place. Upon closer inspection I could see his magnets were keeping him and his papers in place. This is the bridge, he is over my helmet and under the decoration on the top of the bridge. I am now pointing to his little hide away. INSIDE the top beam. This is the Money Shot! Any way you get there would be a beautiful ride. I came across route 68 (the bridge in the back ground) If you come from the VA side, it will be a nice ride too. I went down the raod a piece to see if there was a better place for nutzy, but decided he likes water and had a good secure dry place to hang out. I have GPS coordinates if you really need them. HEHEHEH That's just a stone's throw from where I left the "original" Nutzy on White's Ferry crossing the river.... he does like water.... thank goodness he now has Magnets attached to his ass... he seems to have gone full circle, and is again back in Md., wish he could have been taken to a new unused state , but it's all good.... if anybody needs more clues, they shouldn't be playing tag... heheheheheheh
Nutzy is in WEST VIRGINA. South side of the bridge. He has never been to this state. This was my third play in the USA TOR. Go get him man of blues. From the phone in my shoe Maxwell Smart Agent 86
The New unused state. Thanks for the ride. I went places I would never have. Route 68 was the most beautiful expressway I have been on. From the phone in my shoe Maxwell Smart Agent 86
Holly SHit!! Cumberland Md. is my home town.:eek1 (LaVale Md. Actually) I can see the school that I went to from the picture. Small world. So the TAG is in Ridgely WVa. Way to go I'm at least 10 hours from there now. Ray
back when I made my error on actual state lines i felt kinda silly... http://goo.gl/maps/KKiKo Nutzy was tiewrapped to the stern of that boat... he never made it to Va.... I assumed as you may have, that the middle of the river was the line. Nutzy ain't in W.Va., your Bike was parked in WVA, but The Nut is in Md.... did you notice the sign when you walked back to the bike? the one you see the back side of past the County sign, next to the flag pole in the photo? It's all good man, good taggin, I wish I still lived in Va., it would be a fun ride from there... Not so Much from Ohio... I've actually sat on that bench there and had a cig, with my bike parked back in the road where yours sat.
I don't normally announce my plans..........but, I don't need a 2hr one way Bruce today. I plan to grab Nutsy mid day today. If anyone else is making the trek please post here or PM me and I will gladly head another direction (grab a different tag) I have not had the opportunity to grab this tag yet and I am looking forward to it. Please reply by 10am. Thanks
On your way to the nut, wave to every motorcycle you drive by and say "Hi Bruce" On your way back, wave and say "HI, I'm Bruce" Smile all the way there and back Go grab the little fella. Please. David
best of luck and a safe ride..... :eek1was going to head there tomorrow a.m. @ 0500, after not being able to get today off.... about a 5 hr each way thing from my house figured I would carry it over into w. va. proper and stick it to Rella's fridge, as we were having a COG function this weekend @ Canaan Valley... oh well, I loose my chance, but I applaud you and wish you well.... now I'll just stay home and mow the yard.... and drink beer....
Enjoy the ride. Some nice roads in the area to take. Going south out of Ridgeley on 28 is a nice road. Will take you to Romeny WVa then take US 50 into Winchester Va. That should put you in your neighborhood. Ray
Successful grab. Nutbag is headed South..... 50/28 is how I came to the tag. Taking 28 to backroads to 522 towards home... Pics won't friggen upload. .. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Good grab. Nutzy likes good beer, whisky and seafood. Treat him well. Sent from the phone in my shoe. Maxwell Smart.
This should be reversed. Bruce was the guy that always came in second to the tag. A little bit of "Adventure in Ohio" folklore Craig
I can't wait to see where ya put him... Having just moved from Hanover back to Ohio, it will be interesting... Nutzy will be safe from those Guys in Richmond, they just ride around in the dirt on their GS's, and attend RTE's I'll heads up the ones I know that will for sure play...
I'm hunting a good place. I want to do a little research before I place him. He is home in Front Royal with me now. I may give him an improved weatherproof "nut sack" for his papers (something a little more upscale) before I place him. The punks want to ride along so Sunday will be the new tag. Pm suggestions are welcomed. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
My home town too (Cresaptown/Rawlings area actually). Fort Hill Grad. What school do you see? St. Pete's? I certainly recognize that Ridgeley bridge.
I have read almost all of this thread. I see ManofBlues claimed a VA tag but really just had Nutzy at his home and then on a ferry on the MD side. So........has Nutzy ever been tagged in VA or not????
