Goose get on that vitamin C if you're not already.

hsc, are the Rustburg trails on private land? I feel like darn near everything out there is privately owned.

I've never ridden off road so I have a lot of learning to do! I'm not new to the ADV world but thisKLR will be my firs dual sport. Annnnd I've never had riding buddies so I'm looking forward to meeting you guys.

    Yes on private land.
This is the East Coast. Everything is private.
    :lol3
That said, except during hunting season, no one cares.
(I even got shot at once on my own property on a mountain bike in a bright yellow jersey and black shorts)
During hunting season I wouldn't even jog along the road when I lived up there.

A lot of the single track is a bit too narrow for my tastes (and my KLR) and is clearly marked for non-motorized use. The double-track looks good but it's all gated off so that motor-vehicles can't access it. Guess that stops that.

Yeah, I just need to move to Arizona.

You do not have to go that far west. We have a few good places within 30 miles or less.

Rocktruggy riding offroad is alot of fun. We can hit the easy stuff until you get comfortable with the bike.

No, I know you don't. A friend of mine moved out there and he loves it (KLR rider too). It just sounds like paradise -- lots of hard dirt and great visibility.

Arizona is an offroader's paradise. But you also have to deal with the batshit insane people who live in and govern the state. Come to NM, it's a nice compromise. :D

Home safe and sound. I'm a little bummed that I didn't get to ride the bike home considering it was such an incredibly nice day. But there are many beautiful days ahead!

Congrats. +1 for it having engine guards already. Is that a DAN sticker on your truck? I dive too.

    I'll keep an eye out.

As good as ADV is, http://www.klr650.net/forums/ is a wealth of info for our bikes, if you aren't there already.

Damn! Does yours look that bad?

If Noah keeps riding that bike, he'll be replacing the cam too. :nod

    I think I'll stay with a Suzuki.

Thanks they are pretty sturdy. It's not DAN, just a dive flag. I haven't done any diving since my certification a few years ago though.

I do a many things and have even more interests.
