I don't remember who won off the top of my head. But the race was outrageous.

It took a few laps to heat up, and it was pretty much settled by the last couple of laps, but in between was just awesome.

Im about halfway through this race right now...holy crap. If I wasnt already convinced that Moto2 was the best class this would have decided it for me.

I agree if we only had one pick, but if King Kenny has a big program, I think he'd have Gerret Gerloff and Joe Roberts too. KR could make a dent with those kids.

^^^ At the beginning of the season I thought Marquez was a fast wild man who was going to crash a lot. Now, it's obvious, he's a fast wild man who just goes fast and is fun to watch doing it!

WOW! Backing it in, on the brake, not just engine braking, hopping the rear sideways. This kid is really really good or really really lucky.
He came off the seat when he spun up the rear at Indy and managed to stay on the bike. Fun to watch!!:clap

    Exactly :deal

Taken from one of the many articles quoting the King himself

"We’re working on it. And we’re working on something quite big – it’s going to happen or it’s not going to happen,” he said. “It’s not going to be almost there. When we come back we’ll come back in a big way! And if you don’t see me, you’ll know we didn’t get it done."

Thats no lower tier Moto2 plans he has in the works..

Is it him, or the superior equipment making him look so good. Recent races, is it some great racing up front...front five or so.

Roger Lee has been showing some great riding recently too. :clap

I think we can relatively rule out luck at this stage. The kid has only crashed in a race once, and that was front end tuck if I remember right.

Who is getting (relatively) big Yamaha money to stay in the states. If I were Kenny (assuming that KR is the "big-money Moto2 team" in question, a conclusion of which I have my doubts) I'd look at Joe Roberts (who has a deal with Ulrich of indefinite duration) or J.D. Beach.

Reports in this week's Cycle News indicate that there will be some sort of announcement of Nicky Hayden's 2014 plans imminently, probably at Misano. Current front-runner appears to be LCR Honda on a proddy RCwhateverthehellthey'recallingit, funded by American Honda.

That would be pretty smart for all involved.

:confused I can't quite come to grips with the proddy RC and Yamaha motor lease concept, though. Are there going to be three classes within MotoGP? Prototypes, Proddy Hondas and Yamaha's, and claimers too?

Or are the Claimers going away and being replaced by production racers.

In 2014, maybe there will likely be three types of bikes but they will be classified 2 ways: Manufacturer bikes (Factory prototypes) and non-manufacturer bikes (Proddy bikes with spec ECUS and left-over CRTs, if any). The Yamahas that there has been a commitment for (NGM/Forward) will be engine/chassis/swingarm supplied by Yamaha (for 2014 only, says Lin Jarvis).

I thought I'd read the CRT were gone next year. Hence the scramble for Proddy deals.
