We met them at the Food Lion. Holley invited them to the cabin to wash clothes and sleep in a bed for the night. Their hike was derailed a bit by a Brown Recluse bite near Rockfish Gap. Ten days recovery time help them decide to hike to Harpers Ferry and jump north . they were on a six month honeymoon.

Well the time has come. The house of Hitchens circa 1930 is passing into the hands of a nice couple and their two beautiful daughters on the fourth of September.

It has been a good run but time to simplify. I hope to close the following day on a one bedroom condo a few blocks away.. Living close to ODU till the new digs are renovated a bit...

Finishing up my work year , renovating , and preparing for BWDRCO 2014 is about all I can handle . I look forward to seeing old and meeting new friends this October.

First night back in the apartments I grew up in. The first memories of where I am sitting at this very moment are the summer of 1972 with my mother sipping an ice cold Pepsi. Many a mild summer evening would be lazily passed on our front stoop. This is a calm I have missed for a long time. Almost feel mumma sitting next to me right now.

Funny. Showered and brushed teeth. It didn't feel strange at all. It really feels natural. The only difference is the room I have set up camp was my mothers room when I was growing up. I am seriously considering turning No.1 Apt. Into a guest house for ADV inmates and a select few others traveling to Norfolk. If it will pay the same as the other rentals.

30 min from the beach, 15min from a tides game and 50 ft from an ODU home football game.
Not to mention the bloochdog reality tour of Norfolk.

Going to to get a kan jam set for norfolk. The front yard at the apartments beg for it.
