Water pump seal was redone 3,000 miles ago along with oil change of course. From what I can tell no lose of coolant. There is a tad bit of gooky sandy residue, but it was only on the res plug, and drain plug. Wondering if this could be left over from original what pump failure or the waviness in oil filter and gook is enough to cause further investigation. Oil was dirty but didnt have that milky-ness to it. Am I just being paranoid? Oh and let me know if a better pic of the filter is needed.
I'm not familiar with the engine in ? but on my TL I replaced the seal and just cleaned and polished the shaft and it only lasted a month or so till it was seeping again. I then replaced the seal and shaft together and it has been fine for years.
Check how a new filter looks, they are never 100% straight. Yours looks exactly how mine looked when i put it in.
