I am still trying to decide if I want to go down early to see the Supercross which kicks off the Daytona Bike Week racing on March 8 or ride in later that week to see the road races.

Great racing either way and yes, there are the so called "riders" that trailer their bike down and did not even know that there was racing all week at the speedway.:eek1

Actually, if you time the ride down to Daytona right, as you merge onto I-95S, you will see more trailers than ever in your lifetime!

I hear you. I do about the same- Normally come in too late to watch Supercross since they changed the venue. Flat Track, Few Road Races, Alligator Enduro. I love just camping out at the speedway. Nothing like waking up to a big twin boring down the oval banks at full speed.

I also try to test ride all the new bikes if I signup for it early enough.

I have not yet found the full Daytona Bike Week race schedule other than from AMA. Less than month and half prior to departure. Anyone else riding down?

My plan is to drive or ride over from Tampa area and spend one or two nights in the tent camping area. I'll either come over Friday morning or Saturday morning depending in the weather and return either Saturday night or Sunday morning.

Here's the speedway layout. Possibly, we can have an ADVrider meetup for those riding down and camping at the speedway.

I will probably ride down on Wednesday, 03/12 and leave Saturday so that I will have day of rest before going back to work. Let's see if we can meet up.

BTW, Rush 2112 is one of my favorite tunes to listen to while riding down to Daytona! That along with Pink Floyd, AC/DC and few others.

I'll be down there Friday mid day. Spend Saturday at the track for the race. After that, may come on home or maybe stay and come home Sunday. Undecided at this point.

I will be arriving Wednesday late afternoon or evening as I will head out from Charlotte mid-morning. My plans have changed as I have to be home by Saturday evening.

For those of you arriving after hours and plan to camp at the free GEICO Caveman Campground, I would strongly urge you to get your tix ahead of time especially if you arrive after the ticket booths have closed as you may have limited ticket choices from the gate agent/guards after hours. The last time I went, the gate agent only had package deals available and you had to buy that in order to get into the speedway to go to your campsite.

I purchased just the tix that I needed today by calling 1800 PITSHOP.

do not take I95 through downtown jacksonville. take the flyover north of town, 295 east by pass and exit 9b to take the more scenic ride through st aug. 95 thru town is one big accident waiting to happen, which it does regularly.

Kind of gross today but we have had a few 80' days :clap. This is the best time of year to ride in FL - not too hot and low humidity. Hope it's nice for you fellas during the event. As soon as NASCAR Speed Weeks starts I see an up tick in bikes around town. I get the impression some of those old heads come for the races and stay for bike week. We also live on The Ormond Loop a popular 22 mile ride for bikers. Always here if ya need any local 911 or 411. John if it works out I'll be glad to host the Advers for wings at Castle Cole again.

Will be down there either late Monday or early Tuesday. We have a race in NJ Sat/Sun so we can't leave until Monday. Leaving Hampton Roads Monday. Will stay through the next weekend. We camp at Finish Line RV, right behind the Hooters by the speedway. Always loved the looks I got on Main Street on my 97 Tiger until I sold it.

Leaving on the Super Tenere out of Indiana on Thursday the 6th. Staying at the Days Inn in Palm Coast to ride the Trans Florida Rally Saturday and Sunday.

I think its going to be cold getting out of Indiana. I'll plug in!
