It's probably time for me to make some sort of announcement about my business. I've been building and repairing motorcycles out of my basement for the past few years and I spent most of last winter trying to figure out how to expand my measly operation. After evaluating a few other businesses I decided it would be best to start my own.

The plan is to sell, fix, and rent OHVs.

I have a friend working on the logo. It should read "Powersports", not Motorsports. I'll get that fixed soon.

I just got an updated version of the logo. I think this one looks a lot better.

    CMTRA Work Day

The Colorado Mountain Trail Rider's Association is looking for workers for their upcoming work day. Some of the issues they will be working on are updating the carsonites (removing the "closed to moto" stickers on appropriate signs) and repairing erosion from the recent storms. If you can attend, here is the info you need:

CMTRA Fall Work Day - Captain Jacks

    Saturday Sept 28
9 am to about 1 pm

    Please RSVP to stevlan@frii.com

Meet at Frostys Park. Bring your dirt bike. We will be doing some work on the newly reopened loop on Capt Jacks out of Frostys Park. These are trails 668(Pipeline),720, 701 and we will get to the work sites by dirt bike. Work will include hand tool type trail maintenance and placing Carsonite Wand signs. Forest Service will supply any tools and the signs but bring bungee cords to strap a tool or signs to your bike. Bring water and snacks Lunch - may need to bring your own but we will keep you updated.

To get to Frostys Park take Old Stage road to Gold Camp Road turn right(north) on the jeep road at Penrose-Rosemont Reservoir. If you are hauling your bike in and have a low clearance vehicle you may want to park at this turn and ride your dirt bike the rest of the way to Frostys park.

Another option is to ride your dirt bike from the parking lot above Helen Hunt falls on Gold Camp road all the way to Frostys park. I heard on the radio this morning that Gold Camp road was washed out by the rains between tunnels # 1 and # 2 and though this is not on the route I don't know the status of the rest of Old Stage road and Gold Camp road. I will update you though if I find out more information.

Please RSVP to me - it helps with planning the work day.

    Thanks,
    Steve Lang

Logo looks great, but the dirt bike Silhouette doesn't look anything at all like a DR350.

I made a new login for the store. This way I can keep Catamount announcements separate from my other drunken ramblings :freaky. Hopefully the mods will be cool with this.

Speaking of announcements; I finally got a building permit (only took 2 months :eek1)

I bought an 80 gal, 230V, 200PSI, air compressor for the shop. Schweeet!

The problem is, it weights 800 lbs and it's very top-heavy which makes it hard to move. We used an engine hoist to get it on the trailer, but a hoist won't fit into the closet that the compressor is going in.

Sooooo... I could use some help Saturday morning :gdog I think the best way to move it would be to remove the compressor and motor from the tank and then reassemble them once they're all in the closet, but I'm open to other suggestions as well.

Anyone want to stop by Saturday morning and lend a hand? I'll buy breakfast, or lunch, or beers, or whatever.

    [EDIT] We'll meet at 9:30am - 310 E Hwy 24, Woodland Park, 80863
