Hi, I would like to buy a bike from UK, and export it to Croatia/Europe. Can the inmates from UK help with providing the details regarding the paperwork procedure, what about the plates, and also how is the payment usually solved(any contract between buyer and seller)? I must thanks in advance and if passing by through Croatia, the lunch and beer is on me
Looked at HUUB and as far as i get it I need V5(proof of ownership), a simple contract, and didn't manage to find any info about the insurance? I plan to fly and ride back home so the bike have to be covered by insurance, can anyone please provide some info is there any kind of temporary insurance that is used when exporting cars and bikes? Thanks
Hi, I bought two bikes in UK already and brought them to Europe. To ride back home you'll need a valid road tax (just for crossing UK) and the insurance. The second is much more complicated. I couldn't find a reasonable offer so I made a British resident the registerd keeper of the bike and added myself as an additional rider/driver. If you have someone there in place who can do that for you it's the cheapest option.
Thanks for the advice Wheat 2 Brat I will look further for the options regarding the insurance, but Your advice is more than appreciated In got all the info I searched for, so thanks again for Your help
