Problem with Smugmug Video Embedding?

Baldy, several inmates have PM'd about trouble with smugmug video embeds now autoplaying. Was a sitewide setting changed at Smug or is a problem with the way individual users have things set?

Trying to manually manipulate the embed code doesn't seem to work.

Okay, here's the problem:

I was clicking on the video and watching it in SmugMug. Then, when the movie was over, I would snag the embed code from the share button on the movie. This will get you a movie that autoplays.

The way to get a movie that does not autoplay is to:

Click the thumbnail of the movie you are interested in posting so that it's selected but isn't running.

Then click on the "share" button at the upper right of the screen.


Select the "Get a Link" menu item.

Click the "Embedable Link" tab.


Then click the copy button in "Video Embed" next to the video size you want.

Then just paste the code into your post. ​

This will get you a video that does not autoplay.

It seems that when I get my code from the share button on Smuggy I get different gobbltygook than you:

The thing I don't get is why is the gobbletygook different for the same video. I looked at Barbs and yours and hers are the same. (See my post a couple above.)

Hate to be a pain in the ass here, but it's not just me ... lots of folks are having a similar problem.

BTW, I did try to log out of Smuggy to see if the code is different for an anonymous clip but it was the same.

the share button dissapears when I select the video, I get no code. All I capture is the damn thumbnail.

Damn. I just upgraded my smugmug so I can upload video, and the first vid I post autoplayed. Then I saw this thread.

I sure hope this can be fixed. I don't want to keep using vimeo.

I went to 'share' | get a link | embeddble links | copied the video embed code |
Added &ap=0 to keep any auto play from happening.
