Fishing charters etc at places like Karumba with maybe some R&R at Darwin but could push through all the way to Broome. I've just spent an hour pouring over brochures and maps and reckon the Cairns to Broome part could take say 10 days. Couple of days each side with maybe the same in Darwin turns it into nearly 3 weeks. Could transport the bikes to and from and FIFO.....could be done relatively cheaply. If we could get a doctor and a bike mechanic interested (and I've already got that 50% covered) it could work out very nicely. I'm interested in your comments...
Not really Fongie. It's just trying to do it during the low rainfall period to avoid last minute road closures. It's got to be a July/August thing for it to work. I like the idea of the Barra and Crab tours out of Karumba..... Not sure where the OCR is being run but I see it's around the second week of August. I had thought of going east to west so we could finish up at the Cable Beach Resort. I'd probably fly the missus into Broome at the end of it - she loves the place. I reckon Paul L and Bernie would do the same..

Every single day as of 15th March 2013. It's actually only 39 sleeps until my last day at the desk and then some days owed until the 15th. I guess the official ADV/DBW celebratory ale might be at the Classic a couple of weeks later. Thanks to all for the texts, posts etc. cheers
