Ditto. I've had mine a couple of weeks and the bike feels well planted. Handling in high winds and behind tractor-trailers is much improved. Cornering is stable and predictable.

Have you noticed any difference off pavement (e.g., dirt/gravel roads)? I think the added stiffness causes the front "push" a bit, making it feel a bit less stable...but maybe that's just me.

    I had the same experience.
Passed a truck on a two lane road and had to hang on and hope for the best!
Got the Brace from Rick, put t on and can't believe the difference.
    $ well spent.

Pretty much everyone on Stromtrooper.com recommends it as the first farkle. It made a night and day difference for me in terms of riding on the freeway and in windy conditions.

At first, being blown all over the lane on 405 and 90, I thought it was me, even with 25 years of riding. But the Stromtrooper folks quickly set me straight and Rick and Gloria were great to deal with.

Same experience here; it made the bike a lot more trustworthy. U-turns got a whole lot easier, and tar snakes were no longer a bother. Pretty amazing how much that little thing improved the bike.

Well, I bought the Bags-Connection Enduro LT tank bag. It fits V-Strom perfectly. Installation was easy and the bag doesn't hit handlebar in any direction. I think it looks good on V-Strom and I can recommend this tank bag.

    Here is couple of pics:

I've been searching for a backrest that fits a 2012, 1K Adventure. It seems that the Adventure luggage plate is different than the previous models and nobody seems to make a backrest for it.
My wife likes the idea of a backrest but I would prefer not to always have the top box in place. Has anybody seen anything that might work? Thanks

Here she is, already added GIVI E21 sidecases and crashbars, and installed my Garmin 276C mount yesterday. Need some new tires for gravel roads. Debating over Tourances or Heidenau K60 Scouts. I want something that will give me long tire life, so the TKC's are out.

Anaki III's man. I won't use anything else now for tire life. Maybe not the best of then on gravel or dirt, but whatever

How do you like the E21s? I really like that they are top loading. 21L a piece seems a little small but the way I pack I put most of my stuff in a waterproof roll bag on the pax seat.

Come on man, keep up will ya:lol3

The last couple of post turned from tires to sidecases pretty quick, plus an E21 sounds like a tire model too.

The GIVI E21's are really nice. I usually travel pretty light when I go away for a few days, so they fit the bill, and I didn't want a giant set of cases for everyday riding. Any heavy stuff goes in the sidecases and the lightstuff goes in the topbox. With the tankbag I have lots of storage. Camping gear will go in a waterproof duffel across the back seat.

I love the top opening feature, not a fan of the side opening cases. Plus the price was right, the racks were $168, and the cases were $158.

My Wee came with Motopak soft sided packs. Will the racks I have accommodate say the GIVI E21 hardsiders?

Doubtful. The Givi cases require a Givi or SW Motech rack to work in most instances. It's the way they mount.

Love my E-21's, have them on my wee and my klr, they hold more than u would think because they are top load and u can really stuff crap down in them. bete.
