As much as I loved the originals quad pipes, I think those aftermarket quads look a little off. I'd much rather sport this set:

This photo is from the inside cover of the Japanese CB1100 Accessory Catalog. It looks to be the factory pipes on both sides. Since I hate the one "naked" side look, these seem perfect to me. Now if only Honda will sell them in the USA

Although I like the look and sound of the Pipemasters 4 into 4 better, these would probably make saddlebags/panniers fit easier.

I bet they would have a super nice Honda factory sound to them as well.

If that two-pipe system has a crossover, I'd be good with it. If not, I don't like either the sound or power those pipes typically produce. ,BK

Here's a discussion of the crossover pipe on twin cylinder engines. May have similar effects on multis, too. Good read, though...I know from experience that when I removed the crossover system from a previously owned Harley, most low/mid torque disappeared. tomp

At 6'4" I'm wondering what mods, if any, tall riders outside the U.S. who have done to this bike to make it comfortable to ride. Thanks in advance for your replies.

It doesn't look like you have much room to drop the forks, but you should be able to get height adjustable shocks. The geometry seems to be pretty mild, so you might be able to jack up the back a few inches before the steering gets to jittery.

There are probably ways to lower the pegs as well. I installed Buell Ulysses pegs on my ZRX which lowered them about an inch, made a big difference. If you are willing to spring for it, a custom taller seat with thicker foam should be possible too. Old school tubular bars mean risers and different bends are easy to come by as well.

Thanks. Actually I was thinking more of the seat to peg distance for my aging knees and the relative height/lean angle on the handlebars.

Why does everyone want to change the bike? Leave it alone. If it isn't right for you then don't buy it.

Because it may check all your boxes of what you're looking for in a bike except fit.

Correct. Harley has made millions off of the saying, "Make it yours." Their current 880 page catalog attests to that.

If I got the CB, it would probably stay pretty much stock, as I've spent untold thousands making so many different motorcycles my own...Time to see just what the factories are actually building lately... tomp dd50

When the bike first appeared (prototype) at a Japanese show back around 2008/9 it had twin exhausts like that. I was quite surprised to see it had a single pipe when the model was released here. I've been looking for the original show pic, but no luck as yet.

It looks nice, but you know what it needs... A stepped seat. And buckhorn bars. And a peanut tank. And a 16 inch rear wheel...
