Larry- There are not many more years left to do this- as it's not a sport for older dudes- so we are trying to get it before the body cant do it anymore. They released the course notes today. Click HERE to read about it. Summary I got from it: Day 1 hard Day 2 super hard Day 3 even harder and finish on the factory roof Day 4. WTF were we thinking hard.
And you didn't mention the Prolog, which by itself is pretty good test of rider ability - and damn fun to watch! Best of luck to you Matt, and to the rest of your riders! How soon do you leave for Romania? Are you going to have a few days of riding over there before the competition starts?
Did someone say Prolog <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/U8xXKc7NbB8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8xXKc7NbB8
Track teaser. Europe build some quite tough extreme riders. http://www.enduro21.com/index.php/component/k2/item/2008-onboard-–-red-bull-romaniacs-prologue
http://www.enduro21.com/index.php/component/k2/item/2010-red-bull-romaniacs-–-results-feed A freind (Lee Cooper-Grand Junction, CO) looks like the only American rider listed (13th Silver Single). Where are the guys from Texas? Does anybody know the difference between Single and Team?
So, I think I got if figured out, the "team" classes are allowed to work together were outside assistance would not otherwise be allowed, the flipside being that they have to move through the course together ie; the scored time is that of the last rider to check in. The obvious answer to my second question is that Enduro21.com snapshots are only showing top 20 results for Bronze and Silver. duh
Myself and inmate Enduro-ince are planning on going. I'm really looking forward to talking to Lee when he gets back, and hearing what the Tejas boys have to say afterwards. I don't know who is who but here are the US rider results; Position-Number-Name-Country Silver Single 34 170 Lee Cooper USA Bronze Single 78 442 Steven Gerber USA 80 416 Matthew Seiler USA 93 426 Stuart Robinson USA 107 366 Forrest Hobbs USA 134 430 Kevin Novello USA 146 418 Nate Nickerson USA 150 322 Mark Eastment USA 153 423 Marshal Wheeler USA 161 424 Kelly Huffman USA http://www.redbullromaniacs.com/results/results-2014/prolog-final-results/
