These pants are exactly what I'm looking for. Any update on the tall sizes, I am 6'4' 175lbs, 36" inseam and 34 waist. Thanks
I am gearing up for another production run and ordering materials now with production starting in about 2-3 weeks with a 6-7 week turn around. So I would say towards the end of March I will have Medium Talls as well as an XL size. Anyone wantig to get a good deal on a DS/Enduro pant that is great for 4 season use, now is the time beacsue I need to make room for the new inventory. Becuase I love you adv'ers so much I will still honor the 10% off ADVRIDER Coupon on top of the sale price of $148
Been wearing my pants on my rides to and from work. Most days I don't wear thermals under them, and my legs stay plenty warm down to about 25°F. I have to take back my suggestion to put stretchy material in the crotch. I've been wearing these pants back to back with my Dakar pants, and the reason I get cold in the Dakars is the crouch lets in cold air. Love the pants man. Look forward to seeing what else you have in store. Got some stickers so I can start pimping Dubinky?
Hey thanks for the feedback Im glad they are working out. PM me your address (I think I deleted the last one) and I'll send you some stickers. How is lefthand, have you been up there lately this winter? ben
Not sure if this has been asked before but, any plans to offer any sort of jacket similar to the pants?
Yes, Im working on a prototype jacket now. But it will be some time before I ever get it into production. Making waterproof brethable clothing is a huge capital investment and the company needs to grow quite a bit before that happens. Thanks for the interest, ben
Cool I may have to get a pair next payday. I live in Seattle area and you simply can't ride here without over the boot type pants. I have been eyeing those $329 Klimt ones but holy hell that's expensive for pants. But was sick and tired of starting a ride...go through one giant puddle and suddenly your freezing for the whole ride. Plus our we have lots of mountain singlet rack . You can start at trail head and its 85 out. Climb to the top of a man and its suddenly dumping freezing rain or snow. It's happened.
In your next batch of pants will you have a lighter color? Also do you have a place to put hip armor? One more, I like to wear armor under a jersey. I am 5' 11" and 180 with a 43" chest. What size jersey would you recommend? Thanks
Hey sorry color scheme will be the same and no place for hip armor right now in the 2012 pants. It probably depends on what kind of armor. Can you put the armor on and let me know the measurement. Im 6'2 210 and wear the L jeresey, but some of that armor can be pretty bulky.
What size range is your XL going to be? Any plans for big boy sizes? I need a 46-48" waist. Would order a pair today if you had them.
Haven't been up to LH in awhile. Been focusing on skiing mostly. I can't imagine it has much snow. Maybe I'll give it a go when I'm back in town.
Hey thanks for the interest. The XL's will be about 41-45in waist. Sorry Im adding additional sizes as fast as I can. Thanks though, ben
finally got out and tried my new pants... i LOVE these pants. kept me warm (mid weight thermal underneath); primarily for the heavy fabric, and having no elastic fabric in the crotch and knees, very little cold air got through. great quality and it performed as expected. good job ben. really proud to own one that's Made in the USA.
Sweet Picture:eek1 Im glad they worked out for you. This is what I made the Colorado Pant for, 1 pant for riding from 25deg to 95deg Im looking forward to reading your ride report.
Hi Ben My waist is right on the edge of the medium and large due to winter fat... I'm positive this will be down once riding season begins... Do I buy the Medium or the large? How do you measure the inseam? Ok, I know HOW to measure but I'm looking for how YOU measure...I put the tape to the groin and measured to the floor and gave some "room" in the crotch. Came to 31 inches. Will the pants ride up a bit or have you cut them generously? Is your sale still on for Large? Thanks Garrett
Looks interesting, ride in temps down to -15degC (5degF) and up to 25degC (80degF)...but then I just wear mx pants. Anyway, several guys recommended Klim Traverse pants so bought it but really disappointed. Fit and comfort is great but they take no abuse. After a couple of trips I had holes, tears and burnt through fabric down to membrane just very briefly in contact with exhaust. And this was on easy trips without crashes or anything. So when wear them out, I'll but some more rugged stuff...will come back. Is it space for protective shorts under? Oh, and those videos where amazing! Only done offroad couple of years but been lucky enough to ride in Wales, Spain, Italy and South Africa (besides Norway but not really allowed riding outside roads here). All fantastic places but Utah looks like it was made for enduro! Are there companies renting bikes and doing guided tours?
So sorry for the delay I just got back from riding a couple days in Moab, UT Anyway, Garrett.... I already answered your question via email, but for everyone else.....Generally, the current 2012 Medium Colorado pant will fit great for people under about 5'11'', and will probably be too short from anyone over about 6'1". In the upcoming version more length has been added to the "standard" length pants. Pingvin.... I am not surprised you are having problems with the Traverse stuff, it is quality gear, but any water proof breathable apparel will never be as durable compared to non-waterproof clothing (see post #52 in this thread for some more info). Utah is a great place and if you ever get a chance to ride there it is well worth it. There are several companies that rent bikes/tours. Ben
