I just happened across this thread today and it's making me feel very nostalgic. In 2010 my son and I rode across the rock on a mix of t'rail, forest roads and pavement. He was on his DRZ and I was on my DR 650. I have a ride report, but the NBDSC site is currently DOA, but here is a link to the photos from our trip - hope it serves to whet the appetite a bit.

I've never been there, but I've been over the maps and sat images enough so I know exactly where that is! The limestone barrens! Yes, we will ride that!

So my question is.... Where are the trees you need for cover when answering a call of nature?

You just pick the crappiest bike and pee on it.

Oh, wait a minute. That would be my bike!

    Never mind.

Thanks, but I prefer the dark Kawi green.

I needed to pick my son up from a school event 25 miles away. What was that Neil Simon song? Oh, yes:

Can see out the windows today and we are discussing oil change intervals on the DR while sipping coffee.

Has not been much of a spring here but there is a group ride on the trailway today from Holyrood to Brigus Junction to see what is left of the snow on the old rail line.
A good spring for 'bergs on the west coast though.

I kind of liked it better obscured rather than seeing snow. :D
