Not sure, I always buy 2010 parts, gets rid of the confusion (or 2007 if its an e model, as that was the last year) but it somewhere around there they started fixing the glitches The acct works fine, set it and forget it, if it starts making noise its time for a new timing chain, no amout of manual adjustment will fix that.
Finally broke down and got some Denali D2's! This is the low setting, the high hurts to look at! I wish the low was set just a bit brighter than it is though, but all in all, I feel way safer now. <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/50049382@N07/8432418406/" title="IMG_0825 by anonymousse-ity, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8517/8432418406_99afccaa17_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_0825"></a>
Just a hack job bracket I made on breaks at work. I don't think I'll run it for the everyday ride, but on the longer dual sport expeditions, I think it will be a lot better than fuel in the backpack! <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/50049382@N07/8432417010/" title="IMG_0853 by anonymousse-ity, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8074/8432417010_39a327b5e9.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_0853"></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/50049382@N07/8432411770/" title="IMG_0859 by anonymousse-ity, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8502/8432411770_a4d9aa7a3b_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="IMG_0859"></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/50049382@N07/8432409876/" title="IMG_0861 by anonymousse-ity, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8360/8432409876_459969700c_z.jpg" width="640" height="480" alt="IMG_0861"></a>
Nice! I made a similar (but not quite as elegant) bracket for longer trips. Plus now I can carry oil in the bottles:
I did a 2011 DRZ 400 S unit with Clark 3.9 gallon fuel tank, SSM model MDR Pipe, JD Carb Kit and 3X3 hole, 1" lowering kit, and Off Road Sadona Knobby's. Ha Ha. With a set of tire irons and extra tubes with all the goodes !!! I enjoied all my 650cc dual sports that I've had over the years, but one ride on the little DRZ changed all that, and now after putting on 7500 kms, there is no going back to the big tumpers. If you don't mind waiting a few weeks for it to arrive you can order from here for $40 shipped. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free...R-250-2006-2008-Kawasaki-Honda/505131047.html I had no issues with my order.
I just got an All Balls Racing Swingarm Bearing Kit (p/n# 28-1047) for my '00 DRZ400S and I wanted to make sure I have the correct order. Looking at the picture below, the diagram I made (looking down at the swingarm, with the engine to the left and the frame to the right) is what I think the correct order is: Engine Case T-Shaped Spacer (silver) Seal Needle Bearing Flat Washer (silver) Thrust Washer (yellow teflon coated side facing outward, toward frame) Flat Washer (silver) Seal Spacer (gold) Frame Please advise, thanks.
Okay, I searched and can't find what I am looking for so I am going to ask.....I know the answer is out here some place, but anyway.....I just bought a stock set of SM wheels for my DRz, they have the stock 310mm rotor installed, what I am looking for is an adapter to move my stock caliber (S model bike) to work with the lager rotor.....I have found an adapter for a 320mm rotor, but I'm not necessarily looking to buy another rotor too. Where can I find a bracket that will work for a 310mm rotor??? thanks for the help!
Hi, where did you buy the gallon tank? (I mean tank and support) Do you know any international suplier? Thanks! www.mobenmotorcycles.blogspot.com
Got a few leftover parts from my DRZ that I am ready start entertaining offers for. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=858685&highlight=DRZ400
So last year, a few months before I broke my foot, I picked up this used DRZ which I am just now getting around to checking and fixing all the stuff which needs fixing. I had taken apart the rear suspension to grease all the pivot points and found that I needed wheel bearings and also chain guide rollers. The upper guide didn't have a bearing at all, maybe stock, and the lower one had a bearing but it was trashed. Both were heavily grooved from the chain. If you decide to order one make sure you get the right size as they are different, I bought mine through Thumper Talk and it came with the bolt. Also my wheel spacers were pretty cut up from the seals so I am replacing them as well. I got the rear wheel bearings out and pulled the cover to look inside and 2 of the 3 didn't look bad but the 3rd was all dried out and looked like it had water in it before. Bad bearing with dust seal removed Bad bearings dust seal, notice the mud, rust, and dried up grease? One of the other bearings which was in decent shape but I replaced them all as insurance Inside of other bearings dust seal, notice the lack of mud and rust? Time to get some lunch and then back to the garage.
I don't think there's an adapter to relocate the S caliper to fit the SM rotor. Since the hub is the same, your cheapest option is to buy another S rotor and put it on the SM wheel. Otherwise, you'll need the 320mm relocator bracket and TWO 320mm rotors.
