    Thanks Mom!!
Yah if you could still swing your leg over the seat then you could tag along on Jeff's bike!!
Then maybe Tammy would ride another bike and we'd have three generations of women riding together. That would be epic!!!

I sold Mithrandir to my landlord for the same price that I bought it.
However I did put (thanks to my dad) new tires on it, and I also bought an engine block heater, and a battery blanket for it.
So in reality it was a great price for having a car during the winter!!

It's yorn - brutha - thought of you and Alex while writing it, and Esther of course...

Now that our kindred spirit Esther is back on the road, we need to help keep her there - representing all of our desires to be out there on the road - and a big thanks to you JJ for all your support, most impressive - were you Santa Claus in a previous life? :rofl

Love, Peace, and Motorcycle Grease - describes you guys quite well...:lol3

You asked how one rear pad could be worn while the other was not.

It could be that the caliper is not parallel to the disk. If one pad is being wedged into the disk it won't release as well.

I'd suggest checking that the pins are parallel, the plate that the pins are on is square, the axle holder on the swingarm, the holes in the caliper, . . . well, everything that could be out of alignment there.

If your bike takes dirt naps it can bend any of those parts and cause one pad to become a "power disk brake" while the other pad gets an early release.

If you're missing a spacer in the hub the caliper might engage too little of the pins. DAMHIK about missing spacers.

    I agree.
I would disassemble the caliper completely, clean every moving part, apply some copper grease (not sure what it's called in English) and reassemble.
A buddy of mine once had his front brake freeze up at 140km/h due to grime and salt build-up...

No worries Boys! We will take a good look at it when Nomadgal gets here, unless she has fixed it first! I am sure it is just a result of riding on the sandy/muddy wet roads. I went nearly through a set of pads in 2500k last year in those conditions. The wet mud/sand acts like lapping compound!

Jeff and Esther, let me know if you'll both make it to the party next Saturday, will you?? :ear

'Cause I'll have to get veggie burgers for Esther if she makes it to the Cool Pool...!! It would be nice to meet her!! And I'm sure she would have stories to share with us, and some serious talking to do with GrumpyBear about the D2D...

    Cheers!! :clap
