The bike is looking stunning, an absolute credit to you. You've worked really hard to make this happen.

Just wanted to say a huge public thanks to Lyndon here for the work he did on my 690 bike I took to the Heroes Legend 2012 Rally this year. I started that rally without any worries over the bike letting me down. The bike went through some nasty stuff and just kept on going, I'm in no doubt this was massively due to Lyndon's work on that bike before I went.

I can't say enough about how meticulous he is with his work and this is going to give him a huge advantage over a lot of other riders.

Bring it home Lyndon, you absolutely deserve to get this one in the bag for sheer prep work you've done alone.

Good luck (to your dad, too), catch you on the flipside!

Thanks for your kind words James, the last few weeks has been crazy busy getting my own bike ready. Glad the bike went well and you got through the Heroes without any dramas (other than sleeping out in the dunes all night ).

I only know how to prepare a bike one way and any bike that leaves my hands is of the same standard. It either gets done the right way or goes somewhere else

Moving onto the haircut topic, I had not thought about that as a possible route to fund raising but let me say this, if it hits £1000 I'll do it. I need a headshave donation button on my web-site

Yes, but I'm going to do a short video explaining what I am doing. Keep your eye on my blog and Facebook for more info. I'll post here too. It involves lots of early mornings!

The jacket looks incredibly good! Hope to see it available from Klim soon - I'd be tempted, especially in blue. Would go so well with my 500 exc sixdays. (I'm vain, oh yeah). :)

I am interested to see how the CE protection works when it is fitted in the jacket instead of a pressure suite... Any thoughts on that??

Well, I've used them for the past 4 years with no issues so I know it works. Those of you that have seen the DVD Salt and Gold will remember that I used the prototype back in 2009 when I rode across the Sahara Desert.

It's far more comfortable that a pressure suit or hard armour and the major advantage is that you only have one item to deal with. When it's hot and you stop, you are down to your t-shirt (Lyndon Poskitt Racing synthetic t-shirt of course ) within seconds.

Back, elbows, shoulders (including frontal coverage) and chest, all taken care of in the jacket.
