Great video! You had the same reaction I did when I heard those double sonic booms "WTF was that?!!!" It was too loud to be guns. I thought it was artillery or something.

Great shot of me relaxing and waiting for some assistance lifting that pig. My feet were just digging into the sand trying to do it by myself.

You chuckled as Todd got slowed by the sand, then again when I was stuck in it, then it got you too finally. :lol3

Good practice for LAB2V ... LATER THIS WEEK! :eek1

Yea I think it's funny how I talk to myself when I ride. My bike is too quiet.

Do we have a shuttle up? If so did it land at Edwards, most of the time that is why we heard the double sonic booms. It could have been either AF or USN jets breaking the sound barrier.

    very nice!

good job sean capturing the ride after we left the monument. first i hated dannyG, so many woops and deep sand combined. can't go blasting away because of the 2 - 3 foot deep woops.

but then i later realized it was a good exercise to develop our sand skills...:lol3

from mojave, it's a 8 mile pavement ride to the nearest dirt. uhmm...not exactly, cuz one "rider" could not wait and went crazy and rode the soft shoulder and made all the motorist around inhale his dust...:ddog
    [IMG]

airing down where randsburg-mojave and 20mule splits
    [IMG]

we started on easy dirt so everyone gets to warm up and make their adjustments
    [IMG]

the super enduro caught up with me quickly and here i can tell what this rider is thinking.....:D
    [IMG]

eric still looking very fresh at this moment; those riders in the background looked amazed seeing us
    [IMG]

from start to end, i think this stretch is about 40 miles. the road was so smooth, one can easily go balls out.

    close up of the road
    [IMG]

topping off in johannesburg. i put in 1 gal and assumed that i can do 45mpg or about 130 miles in one full tank...big mistake which i will find out later.

the little mining town of randburg. we ended up not hanging out there since it was only 10:30am
    [IMG]

only several dirt bike and atv riders that morning

I'm guessing 1 was an f-15 and 1 was an f-16. Edwards was right over the hill from us. Just a couple of fighter jocks doing some hot laps over the desert.
