Just to show, that there are some polite persons left over here:

No, the production already has stopped and the factory, at least the production part, has been closed for quite some time now and the remaning assets of interest are currently brought to austria.

Pierer stated many times, that he won't be selling any motorcycles with BMW engines - wether you believe this or not is up to you. So this very model has very, very likely no future. You, however, may still have one riding this thingy.

Anyway, to strengthen your worries: It has been reported repeatedly that owners with problems with the instrument cluster/dahsboard have been waiting up to three month or more for a replacement - nuda or terra/strada does not make any difference, neither on which side of the ocean you are living.

Wether this is due to the ongoing relocation/reorganisation, recent holiday in italy or a permanent issue remains to be seen. Mr. Pierer promised a ten year parts availability - wether you trust this or not or care at all is again up to you.

    Until then, enjoy riding.

Wow...glad my instrument panel is working as it should ....so far ..knock on wood!
I am curious what Mr. Pierer might bring to us in the future. Seems the fact that the TR sold pretty well means there's a market he'd want to tap into.

To return to the new owner theme (as opposed to new motorcycle fates diviner :) ), here's my new shiny Terra. It has ABS, and despite our plates being larger than USA ones, it seems there's no boat anchor thing in there??

I'm waiting for the sw motech bashplate and crash bars, as well as kickstand extender and adjustable pegs from TT. Racks, bars, and electrics will most likely be winter projects :/

I got the dealer to burp the radiator once, and rotate the problematic clamp. They however managed to overlook the chain being too tight, and I have a hunch the wheels are not really balanced all that well. Oh well, can't have everything I guess! Toolkit was included.

In other news, based on traffic over at CH, I think we've determined that nobody should buy the AltRider crash bars unless they consider hose clamps to be viable mounting hardware.

It truly is sad that people paid so much for these bars to get this kind of product and service. I'm glad I cancelled my order before it shipped.

My USA made Altrider crash bars have also worked their way up and are touching my zost. I hope they come good with a fix that is not a hose clamp:huh
