No one could make it yesterday so I decided to go Solo, which made me a little uncomfortable since the last time I went out solo ended with me getting hit by a dune buggy and in the hospital having my fifth knee surgery. But I'm glad I did it. It was a fantastic day. Just don't tell my wife :huh Great dirt after all the moisture and an overall great ride.

This water crossing is always fun - especially with a little ice added to it.:eek1

Notice the nice damp ground - mmmmmm it was Nummy!
    LOT'S of water crossings today.

Enjoying the views on the way to Sheep's Bridge

As DOD would say - "any more water than to fill a canteen is dangerous" :rofl

As you can see there was quit a bit of water and some mud. I took this shot in a milder section of mud. There were some spots where vehicles had made deep grooves - but fortunately the grove was dry enough you could stay in it and blast through - it was sketchy getting out of the grove however. I wish I could have gotten picture of it but I didn't dare stop. Good times.

The obligatory picture of Sheep's Bridge

As I said lots of water - Yeah - I got off and checked the depth :lol3 There was a second crossing just beyond the picture here that was even deeper but narrower.

    Horseshoe Dam

    The crossing :freaky

Take Pima Road to Cave Creek Road, take a right on Cave Creek Road and follow it until it turns to dirt - this goes to 7 Springs and the dirt road eventually turns into the Bloody Basin junction at the T you go right to head to Sheep's bridge. I don't have GPS coordinates on my GPS or I would send them to you. I have ridden the ride before and didn't need the GPS.

It's that last little uphill after the dam that I'm not too fond of.

Actually, it's not the uphill that bothers me... it's the fall off the cliff on the left side of the uphill.

Nice looking XR - that is what I was riding 6 years ago. This would have been a great ride for the KLR. I did finish building the rear rack. I am ready to ride again.
