I usually ride a BMW F650GS Dakar and like it verry much - but for some more serious offroad riding or for bad conditions it's a bit too heavy. I looked for some time for a lightweight and reliable winter and fun ride that would fit to limited budget and came finally back with a Suzuki DR350 form 1991 - kick starter only model. It was not in the best cosmetic condition - but the engine was starting verry well and so I gave it a new home. Some work was necessary to make it street legal again and yesterday I finally passed the technical inspection and got the registration. The first ride out to the fields applied some dirt With the knobbies mounted (Heidenau K69 front, K74 rear) it behaves verry well offraod and is much easier to handle as the Beemer. I'm shure we will have much fun in the future .

Here's my 2: '08 Versys 650 '06 Ninja 500 Both bikes I bought as the second owner and got GREAT deals on. They both were also in immaculate shape when purchased so I don't let them get too dirty after a ride. Here they are in the garage, waiting for spring. I need to get a better picture of the Versys - you'de never know it has over 30K on the odometer.
