Last year we rode over on Friday, camped that night, rode Saturday, moteled that night, then I had some mechanical problems (loose head bearing) and split off and drove home Sunday night. I'll probably be trailering down this year with my brother-in-law if I go.

Nope. Going on 3 years we've had this setup. About 10,000 miles.

Looking at your swingarm reminds me that I need to check my guard. I go through them like crazy. And yes I've tried at the tricks and nothing works. My fat ass is the problem I think. :(

This is the 3rd one we've bought. 1st new chain though. Plus went with the 14 tooth front to add some clearance.

When I bought the bike it had a 12 on the front 43 rear. I put a 14 on and 47 rear and still had problem. Now I have a 13/54 combo and pass KTM's going up hills. :evil

If you haven't seen this epic crash footage in Face Plant, you have to watch it...

the audio is NSFW, and it will become evident why the expletives would fly when you see this...

I'm headed to Utah in June. Hope I don't encounter anything like this...

Finally got the newest steed in the stable fully trimmed out (well, other than the seat replacement & a quick valve check/adjustment) Fully rewired with the European wiring harness & switches for horn, signals, brake lights, cooling fan, etc. Added the KaTooMer electric cooling fan. Swapped the stock stator for a 250W stator to run, well I guess it'll run about anything that I throw at it. Swapped out all that silly orange plastic, including the trade-up to the Clarke 3.1 gallon tank, for something a bit more incognito. Added the billet rear "Rack-It". Freshened up the rear with the Michelin T63 tire. Almost too purrty to get scratched up out in the woods....but I'm gonna do it anyway :lol3

Thanks Rick. Actually, the problem lies in the fact that I want ALL the bikes...but can only afford one or two at a time, which means that ya have to change up the scenery every so often. I think this steed will be breakin' camp here for awhile though. I'm really startin' to grow fond of this monster.

    I know what you mean.

I am already second guessing the Suburban, especially after wishing it was a truck the other day trying to haul a dining room table and chairs.

I have never made the claim that I have found it... Till now! It aint goin anywhere.

And to you bozo's that think I can't hold onto anything... I have owned my oldsmobile for 28 Years! That was car I was lookin for, once I found it... I was done.

How many of you have owned a vehicle that long?
