Anybody from hereabouts interested in heading down to BYOB 2013?

All this talk of rallies and rides makes me wish I wasn't putting the bikes away now. Still, there we are.

I was hoping to do one of the eastern rallies this year, but it is not looking like my vacations and their rally dates are coinciding. Bummin me out.

Well, it seems to be getting to be a large group.
I hate riding in large groups.
I'm staying home now.


It's 758 miles from my house in Waukesha, as the crow flies. First things first, I need a crow and a long roll of string. Then we have to decide how many days to get there, and how much alcohol we can carry without affecting mileage.

Yeah big groups suck, but we can always go in multiple groups etc. Anyway, nearer the time we'll see who's actually in.

If I can make it work into my vacation schedule I would be interested in joining the caravan for a while.

I agree, plus more than one crow is attempted murder.
I see those days have been closed off on the vacation schedule where I work, but I still have some strings to pull.

Maybe it's time for me to hit an ADV rally.

Less than 800 miles, I can be there yesterday.

That will be too early. Rally isn't until later on in 2013. Just sayin'.

Might hafta take the bus seeing as how there's gonna be a fair amount of beer swapping.

I will know by May if I can get those days off.

Location for byob itself is as yet un-named, though it sounds like it may be Oak Hill, WV..
However, I wouldn't discourage you from heading down to asheville the wknd before. Sounds like there will be a bunch of propeller heads there.

While spending a week in the area sounds like a blast, it was difficult enough to convince the missus to let me go with Roy. I never mentioned there'd be other hoodlums attending.

I'll likely only be going down for the main weekend thing, not the whole week. I just don't have the vacay to do the whole week.

Too many other fun times to try and work in the whole year.
