hopefully they will fit, it's pretty tight inside the housing. even more concerning is the exterior clearance with all the wires that run behind the headlight fixture. i'm also interested...
Was that a "reach up inside the fairing and swap", easy-peasy install, or was some plastic disassembly required?
Easy yes, no plastic was removed, although it started to rain in the middle of the install The dust boots where trimmed, the part that goes around the bulb body was shortened to fit between the heatsink and mounting base.

Can't wait to get mine, just ordered yesterday and its in the mail. I had been following this thread and on the way home I noticed I couldn't see my headlight on the cat in front of me. Just received LED bulb and installed in the 1995 KLR 685 was very easy about 1/2 hr. removed the metal shield and trimmed the rubber booth in the garage the light output seem to be way above the stock H4 bulb ,happy with the result.
