    Hey Mike,

The M5 Stuart is Tier 4 light tank.
Take a look at this chart:
    http://wiki.worldoftanks.com/images/a/a0/Matchmaking_Chart.png

...as you can see, at Tier 4 the light tanks start to draw higher battle tiers (in this case up to battle Tier 8 (which is different than tank tier 8 btw..) ).

Try using it as a passive scout when you draw higher battle tiers and your gun is useless. Hide in bushes and do NOT fire your gun. Light up the enemy for your team. You'll get tons of spotting damage. The better you do it the more impact you'll have on the battle.

    Hope this helps :freaky
    Have fun!

    cheers,
    Ed

Already have the 59-16, agree completely on the "meekness" of the gun. What got me intrigued about the French line was last week when a AMX50 100 took out my Black Prince in relatively short order..

The gun on the AMX 50 100 is:
    Damage 180-300 HP
    Penetration 128-213 mm
...but it shoots 7.4 rounds per minute (i..e slow reload on the clip)

The American Tier 8 with an autoloader is the T69 - which is a medium. It's gun is:
    Damage 113-188 HP
    Penetration 131-219 mm
...and it shoots 12.9 rounds per minute.

So with the American tank you have higher penetration with less damage - but you can shoot more often. With the Black Prince, having penetration is important (although those penn numbers are pretty much the same) :D

Both tanks are pretty squishy and need to be played more as a medium than a "slug it out" heavy like a T34 or Black Prince.

Graham (Dookie Chunkz) has the French Heavy line all the way to Tier X
I have the American equivalents to Tier X as well (on both American Heavy lines).

If you catch us in Team Speak we can start a training room and pull whatever tanks you want to check out and compare.

    :freaky
    cheers,
    Ed

p.s. regarding the 59-16 - I found it to be a "suffer tank". Once you are finished with it the reward is the WZ131, WZ132 and the Tier X 121.
All 3 are keepers in my garage.

I find the 121 is a bit of an under-appreciated sleeper tank.
Its gun does more damage than an E5 for example (faster firing and more damage per shot).. and its turret is thicker, bouncier, and faster rotating. The tank is faster too (although slower accelerating than the E5 - it accelerates almost identically to the T57). If I'm given the choice to play my 121 or my E5 in a random battle, I'll usually take the 121. Its main draw back is the crappy barrel depression.

    ymmv :freaky

p.s. Don't judge the line on the 59-16.. press on to the 131. If you don't like the WZ-131 and how it plays.. stop there. The tanks above it are all very similar in play style/handling.

Those are the stats for the base 76mm gun....:puke1

The 90mm upgrade gun is 240 avg dmg, 173 avg pen and 7.27 rounds per minute. It has a 4 round magazine and takes approximately 25 seconds to reload that magazine. I'm at something like 24.7 seconds with BIA and fans. The top gun on the 50-100 has more like a 50 second magazine reload.

    Thanks for the correction Brian.

The T54E1 reloads in 30 something seconds.
The T57 reloads in 22 seconds :deal

I think I'm likely going to sell the E1 because of this; it is just more fun to play the T57.

With the E1 I've been using its lower Tier gun which is 5 shots instead of 4 and 22 second reload instead of 33 - just to screw with people who assume I have 4 shots :D

:lol3 I just noticed the chat.

Please do tell more about the mods that I highlighted in green on your picture. Links would be awesome if you have them. They look awesome, especially the minimap.

I installed roughnecks mod pack.....then removed all of it. Too busy for me. and neither of the boys liked it.

I'm sticking with Jimbo's sight and advanced mini map.

I just like the look of the roughnecks minimap. I haven't played with it yet though since I'm still at work. I don't want to change anything about my setup except for the minimap.

I am kindof thinking that the Panther/M10 looks interesting too. My only draw back is a fair amount of the time that I see them in battle they die fairly quickly but that may just be moron drivers too...
