Anyone know of a handlebar or mount that'll move the bars forward and up a bit? I'm 6'4" and a little crowded when standing on my DRZ400e. Also, sparkplug wrenches. All the wrenches I have won't fit in the sparkplug hole. I think the plug is a 15mm. None of the stamped steel wrenches I have fit. Would rather not add a 3/8" drive socket and wrench to the kit just for the sparkplug. Thanks
There are bar risers out there that utilize the OEM top triple clamp but I found them to be a bit of an erector set and set the bars way to high and way to forward. The slickest solution I had on my DRZ was the Applied Racing top clamp ($186.95). Don't order online anywhere, instead call Applied Racing and request the 43mm oversized bar-mounts (assuming you're not using 7/8" bars) be packaged with your top triple clamp. By default the lowest ones are included. The bar-mounts are offset so they move the bar forward a bit too. The top clamp also comes with all the holes to mount the S model speedo and stuff. Simply add your favorite tall fat bar to your setup and enjoy.
I bought a handlebar adapter from MSC Products (http://www.mscproducts.com.au) in Australia for my DRZ250. They also do one for the DRZ400. The adpater moves the handlebars up by 25mm and forward by 16mm. I'm also 6'4" and it made a big difference. Unfortunately, it took them a while to make and deliver it to me. They were just starting to produce them and they weren't ready for my order. I think I was one of the first to order.
Ahh, I have these on my DRZ. They're excellent! I can stand up on the pegs and don't have to bend at all to reach the hangers
I have the Canadian risers on my DR350 and have the ROX anti-vib risers on my Dakar. I like the vib risers for cruising, but they do have a little flex to them. Good product, but 2x the price.
The SM model runs a "fat" bar. What s a good bar to replace the OEM renthal with? I want a taller bar for when I stand up.
maybe new bars. kool chart with dimensions.... https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/Handlebar-Measurements
