nHmmm, the way that frame downtube has been inset to avoid hitting the exhaust pipe looks, um, interesting..
From this weekend. Kx500 meet at dove springs CA... (2 of them are ex team green bikes) ˭M˭
Low 12's, but the guy said he couldn't get it to hook at all, shitty tire apparently. Probably too light. It dyno'd at 79rwhp. He's building a H2 powered drag bike now, the wheelie bar is going on that.
If you are looking for parts for those things, try www.sportwheel.com I saw about 10 of those triples there today when I stopped to look around, even a triple 250!
My current... Lightweight (slightly over 145 lbs. wet with a 250cc cylinder) Big-bore torque: Street plated:
A couple pics from Yamaha Endurofest in Moab Utah a couple weeks ago. It was great to see all of these 2 strokes on the street and trails!
Here's my 1983 Suzuki PE175. I bought this new back in 1983 rode it off and on for probably 10 years and then it was left to sit in the back corner of my garage as life went on. I've just lately pulled it out and cleaned it up a bit. Bought some new DOT knobbies added the mirror, horn and a brake light and am waiting for a police officer buddy to slide over and sign the inspection paperwork. Dual sport here we come though obviously, she's going to excel at the off road part. I hope to be able to get out and ride with some of you other metro Detroiters I see on here.
Congrats on a very nice machine! Long-term project bike #2...... AKA "The Ugly Duckling"....... 1982 PE-175Z, will never again look as nice as your's....unless someone else wants to do a real resto after I'm done getting it running, braking and handling safely enough to ride hard, and have fun with.
Hi guys! New to the forum. Just bought a KLX250S sao loking forward to that. But I also have a running TY175 and a TY250 in a state of disrepair. I was given the TY250 when I bought the TY175. Still not got back into trials with the 175 but enjoying the old memories! I am wondering if anyone has converted a TY250 into a dual sport machine? I think that a new frame at least would be necessary (or modified) because of the riding position. Anyone have any comments as to whether this would be a worthwhile project? Thanks. Howard.
Just picked up this 1981 Suzuki Rm250. The engine has just been rebuilt, just needs a new front brake perch and I'll be off to the races!
