IM just tryong to get through April right now, lol! September is filling up with races.. not sure which is going to shake down- will depend sort of on what bikes are available, among other details. I'd love to do this one, again, circumstances permitting
this event just seems getting better..... good chance i will be there as a support crew. i'll help whenever or whatever i can.
i like the way you think, that means your 640 will be in tip top shape.... let's hook up. you will find me cleaning the goggles of racer #113.
Hi folks, I've gotten a few emails recently asking if RMS will be there again. WE WILL! We'll be providing complete assistance for the rally, including transport, mechanical support, and bivouac support. We also have a limited number of bikes available for hire. Hope that makes your planning easier. Dave
That IS the plan. Though as always, there's time and space available for things to change. Either way, I'll look for you when I'm out there.
Wow is all I can say about these rally stages for BR2.0 Just finished another full day of scouting and oh boy! Our first rally got high marks but we are raising the bar in a big way for this next one. There's so much we can do with a bikes-only rally event in Baja. Que Chingon
Road Books for Baja Rally 2.0 will use kilometers instead of miles.\ Also, Delorme units will satisfy the SPOT requirements. More info as it becomes available
I better start practising with that crazy metric system then! I can estimate tenths pretty well, not sure about meters. . .
KM vs miles doesn't change the number of waypoints. Also, in miles it's sometimes beneficial to run in two decimal places (52'). In KM you almost never want the hundredths (which is 10m).
On Friday, I head down to Baja on the GS for some whale watching. At the end of the month, I'm planning on taking the Rally Berg on a good training run through DV. Keeping the thread on focus, anybody know how many entries so far for Baja Rally 2? Scotty??
