Layla was in CLT for the week doing training for her new gig. They have good breakfast sammiches at her hotel. I did a little tour of 16 and 27.

I saw Q last weekend, which was too early to see J Lo. They were off to Folly Island, so I missed them on this trip.

I had faith that we would get a break in the weather today. We did.

The temp went over 60, so I got dressed and got on it. Behind Lake James, and up NC 80 to the Blue Ridge Parkway.










Down 226A and back up Pepper's Creek. Pepper's Creek is currently washboarded out pretty badly.

It was like Jurassic Park out there.

I shoulda headed that direction yesterday. It was pretty wet up around the Tennessee line.

For a ride in français, there will be a very interesting 250 km North Wood forestry road ride from La Tuque Qc to Parent Qc around May 12.

I do these all summer and welcome anyone who loves good dirt roads to tag along.

You are welcome to tag along if it isn't too far from home. There is a regional bike event in La Tuque on May 12. From there I take the long way home. Check it out on Google Earth. I guarantee the roads and scenery are awesome.
