Neutral is O.K. The problem on mine has never been too much oil. I guess there was too litle oil until the TSB was carried out and so the damage was already done. Anyway after my clutch steel (?) disks and lining disks have been replaced, under warranty, together with the clutch booster, everything works as never before. :clap

You 've gone too far IMHO. Do you still have problems? How is your clutch nowadays? Have you installed the OEM reduction jet?

I have done worse...... The most stupid thing I have done was not to check that the foam I modeled my side tanks with would, when the time came, DISOLVE! Of course I panicked. One friend suggested setting fire to the foam:eek1 So I cut the back off and dug it out Still that is all behind me now.

I just think it is good to keep my clutch well lubricated without affecting too much the oil pressure in the circuit. So I let it be at 0.5mm.

The clutch slave cylinder is a sealed unit. You shouldn't lose any fluid and you shouldn't need to bleed it.

The wet clutch needs to have the disks lubricated in order to cool them. If the clutch is starved from oil the disks will overheat. Side effects are distortion of the metal disks, which can afect the operation of the clutch. The disks have friction with the clutch lever pressed, developing dragging and difficult gear changes (god forbid).

Just read through this thread, interesting. So, I went to KTM service site for a look around and found this on service training, Orange Level. US wise, finding a dealer with said training, would, could, should give confidence to those dealers service.

Is this the size the stock jet is 0.5mm? or did you drill to this size? I removed mine today. Before removing said jet I could see something shiny blocking it a small piece of metal debris. Getting it out of the hole with a shop vac reduced to a 3/8 hose it pulled right out. That is sure a small hole in the jet it wont take much to plug it. The question is to drill or not to drill any ideas?

In my country jets are not available at the specific size. And the OEM are too expensive for what they are. I think 0.50mm is not going to harm the oil pressure cirquit (lowering overall oil pressure). I 've drilled it trying to fix the dragging clutch problem. So I let it be!

I just slapped a 16t on my 950 SM and figured I'd clean out that oil jet by the clutch. How tight is it supposed to be? I gave it a bit of force and it didn't budge and I didn't want to go overboard. Is there a secret to this thing?
