    Mon Tues, & Thurs.

I start tearing the 950 down tomorrow night to modify the headlight mount since my tanks swelled up and the alignment of the bolt holes are no longer aligned.

I also need to install the new clutch rod and change the clutch fluid and motor oil.

I'm also suspecting a leaking float valve but I dread taking the carbs out. But since the tanks will be off, I might as well kill that too.

If Tom brings his wheels up, could possibly get those too.

If you feel like getting out, I taped the Loretta Lynn's MX today

Thanks for the (useful) response, Danjal. I hadn't thought about the oil change. It's not due yet, but I assume that there's a reason behind it? If I do it now should I change it again when it comes out or can I just get on it and ride at that point? Hope everyone's Turkey day was all they'd hoped it would be.

The given reason to me was about the oil becoming acidic from ring blow by of the gas in cylinders. Plus other contaminants that seep in from used months, and normal wear and tear particles. It was from classic car guys. I just ride mine after taking them out of storage, usually a change mid season, and one more before storing again. Oil doesn't go bad sitting, until its contaminated.

My garage stays fairly warm but by the end of January, it goes down into the upper 30's, even with the truck and car going in and out every day. What happens to mine is the bike gets cold over time and when the humidity goes up, the cold metal acts like a dehumidifier sucking the moisture out of the air. If your garage isn't as warm, you may be getting the same deal.

A few years ago I insulated my building. Keep.an oil heater going in there and it stays nice. If it gets brutal I turn on a propane heater.
It really is inexpensive to insulate and the benefits are huge.

I have heard the same about the oil now that I think about it. I'll change it before I put it away. It's due for an oil and filter change in less than 250 miles anyways according to the service manuals recommendations.

The garage is 22x22 w/ 10 ft ceilings and and 8 ft. uninsulated steel door. It's completely uninsulated. Insulating the walls is easy but what is the best way to do the ceiling. I'm assuming that I should close the attic portion off by putting up a ceiling? Right now it's open to the rafters. The garage is not connected to the house.

Mine is close in size and detached also. The previous owners insulated and placed 1/4" plywood everywhere including the ceiling.

Anybody heard from Chip about his foot? I ran into him at B Spot on Friday, he was on crutches and supposed to see a doc soon.
