I should probably add...this tag is on what may be my absolute favorite 25 miles of pavement in the state :thumb (even though there was quite a bit of gravel in the corners today)

Cool..! Glad someone got this! I like the new tag also..!

Some info on the river at this location can be found here:

    http://waterdata.usgs.gov/ga/nwis/measurements/?site_no=02332017&

Note the rather small drainage area of only 414 sq. miles..

The closest upstream gauge showing current streamflow data is near Cornelia:

    http://waterdata.usgs.gov/ga/nwis/uv/?site_no=02331600&PARAmeter_cd=00065,00060,00062

The graph shows the real-time flow compared to long-term statistics. Still running well below the median for the period of record! This is why Lanier is still so low and why it takes so long to recover.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ley_line The one around there would be of the new age type, I read about it on some witch site. I can't tell you how I found myself on that site without giving too a big hint on the tag.:norton

    Tag!

This is FS 664, also called the Cohutta lookout, on Hwy 52 a little west of Ellijay and on the north side of 52. It is easy to miss since it's at the start of the good twisty bits and we're not usually looking around much.

Nice 180 degree view on a day like today.

Weird thing is that nowhere at the site does it say what this structure is. I've got to believe it is some sort of Civil War era lookout.

Here is the new tag and clues. Shouldn't be too difficult, just based on the pic alone. I had to stop and think if I was still playing North GA tag or a different one for a minute. Soon after this pic was taken, I got to the top of a hill and checked my tires with a penny... 5 mm of tread left. When they were new, I had 60.

GA/TN LINE The #'s 60 and 5 should get you going also. It is a town in GA on one side and another town in TN on the other side. :thumb Go get it Billy! I wish I could ride. Tried to ride around the hood today, but it wasn't happening. Don't want my battery to die ya know. :D

It should be easier now, especially with Crane's clue. Billy, I know for a fact you have passed this bridge a million times.

    Here is another angle.

Nice shots, Flux! Wish it was that nice of day for me.
I just always thought it was an overlook along the Pinhoti trail, but I have no clue. There was a little metal sign of some sort in the center of the ring, but I forgot to go read it. :dunno
