Lol I heard about that. They are also doing major work at that dock. Gonna try to automate about half of that whole dock. It's a shame that tax dollars are dpent on such " upgrades". Neve seen a robot go to lunch at a local restaurant or buy a home.

I'm heading over to the Fonda theatre tonight and need to take the bike. It's my first bike with no topcase and first time riding into LA proper so I'm unsure of what to do with my jacket/helmet while I'm at the concert (no coat check).

I was thinking of using my bicycle lock and snaking it through my jacket arm and through my helmet and locking it to my bike with a regular old padlock. I'll use my extra helmet for sure, but does anyone see an issue with this? Do people steal bike helmets in this town?

True, kinda late for that unfortunately. I'll do what I mentioned and leave it in a garage for a few hours, if someone really wants my shitty joe rocket mesh jacket they will need to remove a sleeve :lol3

i just walk in with my gear in my hand. if they say something i tell them i would happily pay a coat check or security to watch it while i'm in the show.
sometimes merch guys will let you stash your helmet and jacket under their table.

My fuel cap (tank plug on KTM catalogue) broke from the hinge (please no KTM jokes).:eek1
It is expensive, very expensive. :cry (please no KTM jokes) and it will take 2 months to get it from Austria (please no KTM jokes).
It is aluminum (I think) so I was wondering if there is a local place that can weld it.
    Any lead will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hey Ersin,

I'm not an expert welder so I can't tell you if that is possible. It does seem to be a poor quality "pot" metal..

I was looking at my cap and this is what I would do. Take off the 2 allen screws on either side of the hinge. Buy slightly longer round head screws and add a small thin washer and a larger area washer to hold the back side of the cap down. The latch will hold the front and these two screws will hold the back of the cap. These screws will be philips head so you could just do one large area washer on each and loosen them when it's time for fuel and tighten them when done.. Easy

Make sure you remove the one security screw on the inside (of both caps) just in case you can't get them open. That way you can always remove the screws and fill the tank.

If you were closer I'd have a go at it for you... Duck tape sucks I'm sure.

You can replace yours with two of the eBay ones and keep the good one you have left until you find an OEM one at a good price. Something to think about.
