9TH ANNUAL ADVRider EASTERN RENDEZVOUS MAY 13TH-16TH

The drive way of death claimed another victim. I tried to get up in the Expedition pulling a trailer . ended up in the ditch . Then got the snow plow equiped F250 4X4 plowed the road , unloaded the trailer on to the truck . Unhooked the trailer from the Expedition ,hooked it to the 250 then backed the Expediotion out of the ditch and drove all to the cabin . F ME !!!

Now am on the hunt for a generator . Maybe drive to Knoxville since there are none within 50 miles .

I'm new to this...but i'll check with the wifee. hopefully we'll be game.

Northern Tool in Johnson City has gas-powered generators in stock...closer than K-town.

I thought that sounded a little ambitious for this kind of weather . . .

but I'm glad everything turned out OK

You get shoveled out from under all that snow yet?

Yeah!
I dug a narrow driveway from the shop ramp, around the house, and up to the street (which finally saw a snowplow today! ), then rode one of the 640's up to the street, and around the neighborhood a little bit . It's all a bunch of slush right now, that will freeze back tonite. Maybe I can get out for a bit of a ride tomorrow after the frozen streets melt.

Got the Venturoduro out on the road
late today for an eighty mile loop.
Three gaps were cleared enough for me to cross
(Crabtree, Betsy's, & Doggett), but the 4th (Beaverdam Pass)
had not been touched, and still had a foot of snow on it.
Had to go around to get back home.
Made it back just before dark.

How's the snow situation over there, Ralph?

Really pondering coming to this event. Nice to hear all the snow is staying to the south this year . I think we've 2" on the season
