You better hope not. One ride on the Grom and you will turn into wheelie popping, stunt riding, child molesting, crazed hooligan who will be a menace to society.
And here I thought that all scooter riders were model citizens, paragons of virtue, role models for all the other riders out there. Oh the humanity!!
My dear ol' Mother used to say to me, "Well, if it doesn't work out, you can always serve as a bad example." That's my contribution to the role model thing.
Darn scooter hooligans are at it again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OGFAHtKP58 And this is supposed to be an "Official" Yamaha video.
That's awesome. Masculine speedometer As a side note, I showed a non-riding coworker the Grom and he is looking to get one. I say mission accomplished Honda.
Oh yeah, same thing happened to me. Co-worker that has never ridden saw it on my CP and started asking about it. He is seriously thinking of getting one. Not only will Honda sell a ton of these but they will create a new nitch economy just like they did with the XR50.
Great advertizing! The video tells me: If I buy one of these "Exciting" scooters, I will have lots of young, fun loving friends who jump and cheer a LOT. We will go adventuring all over on our scooters without care in the world, except when we are helping the endangered baby turtles make the dash to freedom in the sea. I can almost see the new sub-forum on ADV for people going RTW on these scooters. Almost... Me? I'll go for the Grom
I give up on the Grom. At first cops were looking forward to it as an easy way to meet their daily ticket quota. Now police departments are thinking about upping the quota.
Jaglite it is funny you say that as I was thinking almost the same thing. Wow, if I could get one of those I would instantly be young again and have zero worries. Still I think the world does need a TRUE DS scooter in the 150-200cc range.
Probably a 205 but I don't care. <iframe width="640" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/R3cy9SolajQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Video of still images that include technical drawings. <iframe width="853" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/vN5TWkYAMB4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I believe it. I was in the "metric" bike business for years, and it was not uncommon for a hot new product to be either delayed, or never show up at dealerships that didn't always "play ball." Often times it was connected to how many of ____insert model that won't sell in your area here______ you ordered the prior year. I will also suspect the "markup" on a 2014 $2999 bike isn't going to bbe more than a coouple of hundred max. The good ol' Ninja 250 is a similar non-starter profit-wise, designed to get new customers.
