They turned on me, and I actually went with them until my bike broke.

Gonna order parts tonight, hopefully have it rolling by the weekend. Had a slight imperfection in a bearing race.


This is what came out of the hub, wheel bearings were fine and had plenty of grease. Cause I repacked them when I changed tires 1k ago.



This is the race, I think it caused the problems.


First time Ive ever seen ball bearings split in half.

I'd guess that once you dabbed with your left foot, your weight was on the seat with no hope of getting the center of gravity within the wheelbase.

But I'd certainly go with "I totally would have just ridden it out if I didn't have to avoid the cameraman."

Mighty tempting. I may have to work on Sat, though. I just bought a Native Ultimate 14.5, from Hook Line and Paddle a few weeks ago, so I'd love to do some fishing out of it.

Where you planning on going? Wrightsville?

If not, maybe I can at least meet ya'll for a ride through GS on Sunday... With a 1 year old and a 2.5 year old at home, it's hard to get a kitchen pass at all, much less for the whole weekend, these days...

Buddha. I don't know where we are going yet. One of us has a nice creek with access to Cape Fear in his backyard. We'll probably go through there, but, I am going to try and talk him into putting in a little closer to some bluer water, with a little more salt.

How do you like that kayak? My main ride is a Perception 13, but looked at the Ocean Kayak Prowler 13.5 that looks would look good sitting under me. I may be upgrading soon

Sunday, come on out and ride. We'll definitely have the plan later on in the week.

love the kayak so far. i've only paddled it a few times now. spent the weekend paddling it around Sunset Harbor/Oak Island sound when I bought it, and it's great in the big water. I paddled down a local river this past weekend, and it was great for that as well... except... i have to either buy the bow skirt to enclose the front, or figure out a new way to launch it from a steep bank. when i launched into the river, i just did my normal sit-on-top style launch of getting into it on land and sliding it off into the water. Well... that didn't work. The bow dove, and I went for a swim.

Yea I like that one... I think I will use it...

Just kidding... I had fun last Saturday and Sunday.... I think my pride is healing quite well and I will be able to ride Sunday with no problems..... I have been polishing my rod all week thinking about fishing...... (no comments from the peanut gallery ) . Got the day off tomarrow......... Think I may go fishing ....
