What kind of bag is that? My throw-over bags don't really fit very well, that looks like a much better solution. Any issues with it moving around too much? Thanks.
It is this one. http://www.saddlemen.com/Products/K...T-TAIL-TUNNEL-BAGS/TS3200-Sport-Tail-Bag.html It has several mounting options, the one I used was straps that clip to the bike and then to the bag. It didn't really move around much at the bottom, but since the straps I used attach to the bottom the top moved around a bit. I cinched down the top compression straps to reduce any movement. It was pretty roomy inside. The only issue is if you want to use it as a regular duffle the "tunnel" kinda screws that up. Honestly I was a little leery at the price ($89 last summer) but I was happy to see it wasn't cheaply made. It comes with 2 kinds of attaching straps, I got 3 of one and 1 of the other. No big deal.
Thanks. It looks like it will fit the klr also, plus any other bike I feel like buying. Size and price seem great. As soon as the checking recovers from Christmas I'm ordering one. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
I recently fabricated pannier racks for some fast touring on the 14R next riding season. Contrary to the way it looks in this pic, the 35" pannier width ( Givi E21's) is less than the width of the mirrors.
My previous bike was a Vstrom with HUGE ass panniers... thought I would miss them.... and after 2 months and 4400kms, my comment is bah! who needs panniers when you got bungee cords?!
How upright do those risers have you sitting? I love these bikes, but due to many injuries I can't lean over for long. These particular risers look great, how they working for ya? I'm all ears...
They look like the same ones that are on my bike, I believe its 3/4". They aren't a huge difference but help. My problem is shoulders, the pain is still there but more manageable. I added a concours seat though, which basically cancels out the risers. So now either way something is sore. All typos and misspellings blamed on my phone.
Here is my 2007, I bought it knew and have just over 34,000 miles on it. I have offered it up to some friends for $5000 but will keep riding happily if it doesn't sell. Here's a link to my on going picture thread with many more pictures of this bike , my triumph, and wife's 696 http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/index.php/topic,66765.0.html#.UPnwv_Let8E
Does anything hit the fairing? I was told you can't stack risers because the bars hit the side of the windscreen. Stock cables? All typos and misspellings blamed on my phone.
Another option is the LSL conversion. This cans the clip ons and converts to a handlebar. Very comfy and comes with stainless steel front brake lines
