The GPS draws a circle so it is obvious! Funny that we found you admiring the cows in the back paddock last ride then?

Actually in the past before mapping GPS machines we often did circles in the local forest tracks, wondering who else was out there riding. When the track was loaded onto the PC from the GPS, evidence of circling patterns were noticed. It all looks alike out there sometimes.

That is a bummer, where are you located at the moment?

Expecting XR and Slow any time now to go through and finalise the route, etc. We will update you by PM and you make sure you have contact details etc, just in case!

I have just home from Gag's place. We were fooling around with maps and GPS machines, getting the route sorted. Gags calculated that your trip will be about 1300 km to Camerons Corner; shorter if you use the excavator and go as the crow flies. We hope to see you there Nuts!

Gags and Slow, I have been playing Basecamp's routing function. I placed waypoints on intersections that defined where I wanted to go and the program laid the route 90% where I wanted to go. Now all I have to do is work out how to edit the route so it is 100% where I want it to go. Any ideas?

    The process
    1) place waypoints
    2) select route icon. it asks for you to drag form start point of your route to the finish. move the pencil icon from start point to finsish popint and the route is highlighted.

If we can work this out, then we can redo the trip on the GPS more accurately than the track files I have done.

I just looked at the route help video. all has been revealed!

    Disregard the above link(y)

After the get together at mine on Saturday, and because Mick needs his beauty sleep, the revised departure time is now 1430hrs on 26/8 from Chez Slow.

    http://www.timeanddate.com/countdow...&msg=GTR+Riders+-+Assault+on+Cameron+Corner,#

The route is still pretty much as Mick has previously posted, Figure 8's as opposed to XR's U-Turns!!

Me thinks the reason that Slow is spending more time in bed is reasons other than beauty sleep!!!!

( I may be old but I aint dead yet. Ronnie was a very nice young lady Slow; you look after her now!)

Besides; I calculate that a figure 8 is made up of four very big U- turns.

So, I am guessing you will meet us somewhere north of Digby? As we are leaving on the Monday arvo, the plan is to bunk down at Wal's (BigRedRooster) farm on the Monday night (Kaniva).

Unless you wanted to cross over the fence and join us from the start but that doesn't make too much sense. You could meet us in Digby, I would think it would be around 1500ish, assuming we can drag Slow out of the sack :evil

Don't need porn, I've got you Andy  .

Well, finally worked out how to use my garmin and base-camp this arvo, easy to use when you're not handicapped :lol3 . To let you know XR, the Topo-maps where installed on my desktop & GPS, I just didn't know what I was doing :jjen .

Sat down with some rum and base-camped the whole route in under 2hrs and that's also using route & not track XR :clap .

I am running out of the milk of human kindness.

Modern mothers are giving me the shits. The little shits lack discipline and who is to blame? Gotta be me.

People who research Google and get everything 60% right, but know everything instantly. Why did I waste 5 years at Uni and 36 years trying to perfect my art/science when I could have fast tracked my career via Google?

How many more days until we go Gags?:clap
