One night over works for me. 4 queens for a 100 bucks....Okay. If you're booking rooms, I'll take one.
This Ely thing could become a habit.

The plan is for Friday-Saturday. I need to be home Saturday evening. You can ride back with me if others are staying a 2nd night.

The long range forecast looks like it will have me putting my bike on the road in three weeks. I'm thinking some kind of Albert Beach run when that time comes. :freaky

I guess we're between canoe and snow machine season...plenty of availability, between 75 and 100 bucks a room.

Super 8 has a breakfast, about 70 bucks a room.

The fancy lodge is $130/night, but isn't walking distance to the restaurant.

I will check to see what the name of the place was, where we stayed two years ago. (SkySailor, do you recall ?)

The Casino hotel is really nice, however the "Casino Food" is typical....buffett ala fat on a cart. And the bar prices were through the roof.

I have done two rides through Ely and stayed at the Fortune Bay Casino both times. I had great luck in the poker tournaments there. I came in 1st once and 3rd once. But both times I rode through it was wet and raining so I have never had a chance to ride the #1 highway in good condition. From what I could see through the downpour it looked like a really great road.

What was the cost of the room?
I lean to Campground type prices, or better yet, Stealth Campground prices.:clap
You do have to make allowances though...

I think the prices were around $70 or $80 bucks. That might have been during the week though. It was a nice enough place. The hot tub felt good after riding through the rain.

The Adventure Inn seems to have some interesting accommodations in Ely. No idea how far it is to the steaks though.
