Glad everyone got home in one piece! I headed up around Mt. Pinos and did a few miles of Elkhorn. Not a soul out there. Ran into another Beemer at the twisties heading back around the mountain. Hey Steve! Finally got back at 7:00!:huh :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You're the inspiration to many of the married guys, a Kitchen Pass w/o ETA! Even some of the single guys are all in a rush to get home to their SO. :lol3

cause everyone I know in their 20's don't ride. theyre either too retarded to operate a motorcycle, or would much rather go to a night club than get up early and go for a ride. Me? I'll take the adrenaline of a 950 at break neck speeds over an alcohol infused evening at a night club any time. :deal

What's a good road to play on some dirt, that's close enough to hit from the Valley (Encino) ? Preferrably without hundred-foot drops on either side... I want to try out some more dirt before I engage in a group ride anywhere, so I can figure out what this bike and I can do.

I found a small part of the Mulholland dirt road, west of Hayvenhurst that goes to the missile site, but it's usually closed.

Is that the one you guys keep getting flats on :evil ? I have an SM and don't know how to change the tube, or even if it's doable on these 17" rims. I carry some slime but I'd rather not have to use it.

SCD seems like a big commitment though. I was wondering if there is anything shorter and perhaps a bit closer, something I can dedicate a couple hours to on a whim ?

The main road of SCD would be no problem, flats are unusual. You could do it on any bike, yours would be perfect even SM.

I've seen mountain bikes there too. It's more like a supermoto track than a dirt bike trail.

Next time we go up there again, join us. You don't have to do the off-shoots, just stay on the main trail.

Easy to get drunk, cause it's cheaper than a SE.

Dual sport is an expensive hobby, especially if you have a KTM :lol3 !

On the 19th and 20th, we will be out there at Carrizo Plains to camp and ride.

Then on the 26th and 27th, it's Warped!

The week after that, May 3rd, Nowwhat and I briefly talked about doing San Francisquito and Sawmill. This is a full day ride. Possibly will end up in Gorman or Fraser Park. May 4th is open - Lynx anyone?

May 10th is the Randsburg Run, lead by Rider914. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=330738

May 11th, you can still ride but the divorce paper will be ready when you get home :deal , it's Mother's Day! :lol3

    May 17th and 18th, don't forget the Big Bear Bash. :eek1 http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=297692

Looks like our schedule for the next 5 weeks is full.

There are other places we would like to check out, please post your suggestions or comments. :ear
