i was sure he would be right back at the top...however there are three people as fast OR FASTER than him.In his career so far that is not common. There also two or thre others quite close. That makes the upcoming title fight a tantalising one

Maybe he figures because he made it through the test without something breaking, the engine blowing up or crashing it's an improvement.

The rookie, who is having like his second ever (or third ever?) ride on a MotoGP bike, seems to stand there on the timing sheets just a few tenths back from the two top riders of the world at the moment. Everyone else is already slower.

    Wow.

Looks like they are going to need to redesign the fairing so Ben can get his elbows out

My thoughts exactly. Rossi said once during last year that Stoner's riding style in general is the next big thing for future riders. MM reached for it and took the torch seamlessly.

:huh They still don't have that figured out? What have they been doing these past few months? Wouldn't it have been reasonable to expect that Audi put a torch under their asses already? Evidently Rossi made the right call.

Marquez is impressing. Looks to be the most interesting season in several years.

MM's riding style actually reminds me of Randy Mamola, more than anyone else. Just faster...
