I'll be traveling there on Sunday the 23rd and returning on the 29th. I'll be pulling a travel trailer out near White Wash and camping there the whole time. I'll have my 11 yr old son with me.

We'll be riding the dunes and trails on the north side of Moab.

    More details coming.

    Anyone else interested?

White wash is an area that we really need to be more active about. It is currently on the BLM chopping block :puke1

Always interested. I'm going to try to make a trip over in March. I won't have my March Schedule until late Feb.

Would love to join you Paul but will be in Rabbit Valley around those times. Was great to see you and your son last Sunday!

Off topic, but following up on the closure concerns....if the Canyonlands National Monument is created with the boundaries as the proponents desired, some of the southern most trails at WW will be lost. E.G. Dead Cow Loop and some others.

See the thread about Greater Canyonlands National Monument for more details.

Now...back to your regularly scheduled thread.

BTW, I should have a big green bike with a sand paddle rear out there if you want to take it for a spin.

So I got the new kickstart shaft in recently and went to install it and discovered that the right side engine cover is also cracked where the shaft goes into it. :eek1 So far I've destroyed $400 worth of parts trying to kickstart it. :baldy

Yes! Yes I do want to rip around on that bitch..as long as there is a good hill to point it down and get it going, or can u rig up an e-start? J/k..the 500's I had ridden in the past weren't overly bad, but as with any bike, there is a certain technique to it!

I'll be in Moab with my family, wife and 2 boys, during the boys spring break at that time. Thinking of camping off of 313, so will be near. Maybe we can make run down dubinky for a visit, though I don't know what the range of the boys bikes (crf150 and yz125). We've been to the gyser and back from the dunes, that's at least 40 miles round trip I think. My wife rides the XR200 super tanker and always has gas to spare.... I'll look into it and be in touch.

15 and 17, but my wife says she lives with a bunch of 10 year olds. I think that is a typical response, or I hope it is.

Just a heads-up, the Easter Jeep Safari is the 23rd through the 31st.

Does anyone know how this would impact the White Wash area?

We're considering a Spring Break trip to White Wash / Moab and so we may join in the fun!

Thank you! Totally forgot to look into that. I'll likely be rerouting to whitewash if I can persuade our group.

    Paul,
I'm pretty certain I'd be in for this gig. I was thinking of heading out there around that time anyway with the motorcycle and mtn bike to have some fun. My roommate hopefully will join as well as we were already talking about it. :clap Will follow the thread and we can work out details on everything. :deal
