    Hi Matteo,

Since I'm having trouble finding the XP7 WRS boots anywhere, could you tell me what the differences are between the XP7 and the XP5? I liked the CE Level 2 rating of the XP7 boots and as far as I can tell, the XP5 boots do not have this rating.

Slightly off Spidi topic but does anyone else make a CE Level 2 rated boot?

    Hi 9mm

XP7 WRS and XP5 WRS are very similar, but XP5 WRS has been just released, that's why certification is still pending; basically, PU plastic parts are same and construction is almost same. Main difference is the double-open entrance in XP7 WRS.

    Hi Matteo,

Thanks for the reply! Is Spidi seeking the same Level 2 CE certification found on the XP7 WRS for the XP5 WRS?

    hi Matteo,
do you have any of the abrasion test results (as in seconds lasted) for your ergo 365 pro expedition?
I am trying to decide whether to get this suit or to go with Clover Tekno WP, (of which their material lasted 19 seconds on the sanding belt)

I do know that by definition it lasts at least 7 seconds for level 2 certification, but i would like to know the actual time it had taken to wear through
    thanks, Max

    Hi Matteo,

I see the Venture DPS has replaced the DPS 03 jacket. However, the new Venture DPS airbag protects the neck. Whereas the old DPS 03 airbag protected the neck, torso, back, sacrum and clavicles. It looks like the new jacket and vests have less airbag protection (especially compated to Hit Air, Wairbag, etc).

Please could you explain the change?

    Hi Valentino.

The new DPS Neck Airbag has been developed for 2 main reasons:
    >lower inflation time compare to full airbag (less volume = less time);
    >possibility to cover chest area with CE Certified Warrior Chest protector and to cover back area with a Level 2 Warrior Evo protector. These protectors were not available when full airbag was launched in the market; in particular, chest protector has been introduced 3 years ago and level 2 back 2 years ago.
So we can say that Neck Airbag + Chest protector + Level 2 protector = similar protection than full airbag.

Hope I was compact but clear.

I read your review with interest as there are not many "Joe the Plummer" write ups. Looking forward to receiving the gear this week. I'm sure the Irish weather will test the suit as will my planned trip to the swiss alps this July.

    Matteo,
do any of your "Tex" range pants (Fit; NL5, etc) have a 360 zipper or do you have to go to the Ergo to get that?

I am looking for a summer textile pant to use in place of my Ergo pant on the very hot days and I would like it to attach to a Spidi leather jacket I have in mind :evil

Otherwise, is there a perforated leather trouser in the line-up?

Great ride by Cal Crutchlow last weekend; if he keeps this up I see him replacing Ben Spies next year (what an awful season he is having and I predicted a good one for him :huh ).

    Cheers!

    Hi Moggi,

yes Crutchlow and all the other guys in MotoGP and Superbike such Melandri are doing great for Spidi!
You can attach to Ergo jacket any type of textile pants and trousers, such as NL5 or Summerfit.
    Here you go with picture:

But will the NL5 attach to the Track Leather Jacket? That jacket is on my list for summer riding and a pair of well vented textiles.

    Thanks.

    Hi moggi,

no you can't join leather jacket and textile pants, but you can ask for an adaptor when you order the jacket.

Hey Matteo, I received my jacket today, and it fits great! However, I was curious if it would be possible to buy the matching zipper for the jacket-pants connection from either you or another supplier.

For the most part I will be commuting, so I would like to make an adapter to fit my overpants.

    Matteo,

looking to get the right fit for the Fit Tex:

I am 33" inside leg and 34" waist.

Am I right in saying they will breath as well or better than the NL5? Is the Tenax Tactel more abrasion resistant than the Clarino Microfibre?

    Thanks.

    Hi keiji

    we don't offer as optional.
Don't forget you can hold jacket to pants through groin straps.
