It traps in moisture.... Unless the house is made of metal.... wood needs to breath. Without proper ventilation, wood will rot from wetness or dryness.

E.C.- So I have heard. I was able to ride to work today as a consolation prize though.

It was an ideal day for housepainting, but I ended up not doing that. Good on ya for resisting the vinyl (though the cement stuff is intriguing, should the lottery come through).

This is a great building, east of the biggest part of the state. Odd thing about this is that it's round, in part for the same reason as the schoolhouse a few pages back. Another pic to follow, and sorry for the lousy cellphone pic. The choice was stretch it or post it sideways, until I get better at this.

Here's the detail of that plaque you can see behind my bike in the first shot.

Can I get a clue as to where the new tag is is?

Love the Old Round Church! Looks a lot like a Hexadecagonal Church to me though. :hmmmmm

The dam is on the Winooski River.
I am not sure if the spot where I took the picture is always accessible, but there is a public park below the dam with road access.

Asking for a clue 2 hours after the tag is posted!? Sheesh, is this an adventure or a walk in the park? :deal I can draw you a map. :D

I'd just rather be riding than searching online for clues :ricky

That and there are an awful lot of dams in Vermont to just try and visit them one by one :D

    OLD TAG

I thought I was in for a right proper brucing on this one. Ellivnad was googling, Freya129 was giving me hell and Guymanbro was commenting. :lol3 On the way to the tag, I met a guy from Michigan on a GS that was touring NE and shot the bull for about 45 min. Just as I was getting ready to head to the tag, a red F800GS rode by going towards the NEK. Crap! I thought, There goes Ellivnad on his way home to post the tag :ddog and thought....well he probably has a blackberry or something so I'm already F'd. Why am I even bothering? Well I figured it would be a nice ride and I've never seen that dam before.

So I get caught in a traffic jam in Waterbury and decide to pass everyone on the right side and finally get to the tag. I took my pic and headed to Red Hen Bakery for the WiFi connection to post. Where the hell is my camera's USB cord???? :hmmmmm:becca Well It either fell out of my backpack when I lubed my chain in Groton or it fell out at the tag location. Back to the tag and was about to give up looking and VOILA!:happay I figured I'd stop at Green Mountain Coffee to see if they had WiFi. They did, and that's the end of the story. My fingers hurt.

Thanks VT, It needed a good power washing after an awesome weekend of class 4 and legal trails in the Groton/Peacham/Ryegate/Danville area. :cromag

No competition here today, I'm on baby duty tonight :D

    Nice snag!

*Some of you might not have noticed that there is a Dirt TOR with the tag in VT for the last few drops ... you know, if you're looking for more riding =) http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=615990
